Precision strike is really silly. I mean, any MG/Mortar/Pak (2/3 man squad) is wiped most of the time. (This is the reason why this thread started )
@Greeb 120mm has no longer extreme range till it gets to vet2/3. I dont know the exact stats but it would be nice to compare range from vet3 mortars in general. |

Ahhhh...Mechanized Support. My choice when facing a possible Elephant/Tiger Ace doctrine on 2v2+.
Mark Target - Guards - Bombing Strike - PERFECT for taking down the TD beast.
ISU wipes squads/deals quite decent damage to tanks (also shocks) with its normal shot and it has an ability that lets you snipe squads or paks.

-Increase popcap of 24 to 36 or more.
-This is personal apreciation but doesnt it have quite a big splash damage (or how the hell this thing keeps sniping zis?
Reduce elefant damage output OR decrease ROF.
Things regarding how it appears:
A-Besides what plan do you have for your resources after calling it, it should have an initial cost nevertheless.
B-I would prefer it appearing at 6VP BUT delaying it´s appearance on the map for 5 mins.
(BIG announcement saying, brace yourselves, Tiger is coming...)
On this way and applying what i suggest before, you are actually paying on those 5 minutes for the cost of the Tiger Ace while also "suffering" a 36+pop cap on your army.
This means that you can´t just add it to your army or use it as a last resort ability since you would still need to wait 5 mins for it to appear.
This will give plenty of time for your opponent to prepare the correct defenses while you are stalling till your shock unit arrives.
As i said on several places, the problem with this unit (besides being a bit TOO powerful) is that it comes for free. On an even match this thing is just too match, specially on a 1v1.

I think this commander suits very well on a 2v2 sceneario. As they´ve already said, to get the same income from a cache you need to wait 30-16mins/amount of players. For muni that´s a lot and for fuel quite considerable.
I´m wondering at average how much time it takes to get 2CP in a 2v2. IRC the drops works for 1 or 2 mins. I could see it used for some quick Ostwind/P4 if timed well. Basically some T1-T3 play. |

Difference is that Ost have better armor, deals heavier dmg n penetration (i think or it´s that ruskies have lower armor) and they have better non doctrinal AT options.
I feel like the ability is on a fine balance, the only thing it might be good to do is removing the ability if the plane is shot down. |
I'm only a half-decent WM player in vcoh, if even that (to be frank, my support weapon micro is pitiful, if anything, I'd build 4 Volks and try to make due with that). But really, yes, the MG42 takes a while to pin. Well...I don't get it, I'm an infantry player and when someone builds 2 or 3 MG42s, it's an absolute bitch to dislodge them from their current position--and "go to the other side of the map" isn't valid when most OH players I run into have an MG bunker up by the time I reach wherever it is. OK, the Maxim has a ridiculous setup/teardown time, but I usually pay attention to the moment that MG starts packing and either move an infantry unit in on the other side of its arc, or keep moving to end up outside of his new setup zone with the unit he was trying to hit with the MG. It's not rocket science. As for the MG42, again, there are some issues, but properly used, I don't see much of an issue with them.
Granted, I'm terrible with crews, so my MG42 usually ends up being useless in firefights, but set up BEHIND a grenadier or pioneer they'll work just fine if you aren't caught with your wiener schnitzel hanging out in the breeze. MG42s deployed in depth to cover one another are devastating. Grens with LMGs in support make it even sillier. I've lost count of the number of times, hell even in team games, where I initiate a 4 squad con flank and get caught by 1, 2, at one point 7 MGs that were just dumped out. Does it need some improving? Yes, probably. But not that drastically. I'd still take an MG42 over a Maxim any day.
If people added a small comment saying: this is my experience while playing 3v3+ that would be great!!
Unless you are playing 2v2 Pripyat or Rzevh, theres no way you can´t punish someone going with pure mgs bunker spam. |
