SO basically F axis for existing.
OKW can either "passively" use Pintles + Flak HQ or get a good dedicated Flak HT.
OH is the one screwed in regards to good dedicated AA unless you have a vet2 Ostwind.

Thread: Why no more non-linear teching9 Apr 2021, 22:27 PM
No, it's all about the power of the units which makes you not require diversifying your army. That's by design. People didn't like that design therefore more linear teching. -Soviets didn't need support weapons when they could just spam sniper/clowncar into T4 Su85/skip tech into doctrinal tanks -Soviets didn't need main line infantry when they could spam Maxims with Zis gun into T70/Doctrinal tanks/T34 spam. -USF didn't need support weapons when you could just play with Rifles + M20/Stuart + Shermans every game. -OKW didn't need support weapons when they just could spam Volks into Obers + PV/KT _____________________ OH before reworks was either opting between T3 or T4 because the tech cost was prohibit to get both in non +40 min games. ____________________ There was risk. Problem is that people tend to not like cheese and getting defeated by spam army of small diversity unit compositions. In: COH2 Gameplay |

I think the use of emoji denotes a level of sarcasm. Hey, at least he didn't matchfixed in a game which have a millionaire bet system running behind the scenes which could get you behinds the bars with the FBI running a parallel investigation as well. In: Lobby |

In case of vet2, that's more a design/general sentiment for quite a long time. As far as what they actually need atm outside of that dunno. It can be approach from multiple directions. As far as what constitutes a heavy, i think the easiest way to put it, is a vehicle which will not be burst down in single reload cycle from 2 160dmg sources + having decent firepower. Should salvage values be doubled as all wrecks already start at 50% HP? Or make all wrecks start at 100% HP? In: COH2 Balance |

Which is why i said selected units and abilities. Going through the ability guide, i don't think i have seen too much use out of: -Diversion (OH officer) -Mark unit (Upgraded PG) -Interrogation (G43, Rip after we had to kill crawlers due to how they provided passive vision) -WC mark target -Not one step back (Commisar) -Hold the line -Inspire infantry (KV) -Target them (OKW) Fairly low impact with low cost abilities. In case of mark target, it could be a bit lower that max casting range prioritizing highest value unit (considering how hard is to keep it alive at that point in the game). From all those, i think Interrogation should work like minesweeper behaviour (when they have nothing to do they sweep). In: Lobby |

Because i feel it's day and night when the Tiger and IS2 manage to get vet2. It also makes their counters less effective, specially for OH vs IS2 when their stock vehicle options are either the Stug/Panther, both units with the same range. Improve/make them good at what they already are. Not reduce the effectiveness of their counters. This is one of the things i disliked since 2013. Maybe some day. In the same way i thought that one of the only things that PG needed to be relevant was changing their vet1 to RA. A man can dream. In: COH2 Balance |

I thought it had been improved in this regard in a recent patch? Didnt it get an increase in the percentage chance of each Flak round downing an aircraft or did I imagine this? If the former: Is it still the worst? I think that was previous to the last patch. I would have to test them back one by one but i'm still under the impression when considering factors like rotation as well, that the Ostwind lags behind all other dedicated AA units. I wonder how much it would affect the game if we had auto cast abilities upon entering combat, in a similar way to WC3. Obviously it would be a selected few ones, but i'm thinking how much better some officer like units would become if that would be the case. In: Lobby |

100 hours of aimless practicing is less effective that 1 hour of focused training. -222 is not a dedicated AA platform. Think about it like having a extra couple of pintle MG upgrades. -Flak HQ is also not a dedicated AA platform and the OKW player needs to activate the AA mode. -All planes are effective on their first pass. -All planes that track units will still be effective against retreating/moving units. -Ostwind is the less effective dedicated AA unit of all factions due to RoF. -PvP in beta can be unreliable depending on time zone. It's generally more effective to make custom games. In: COH2 Balance |
