What are the best strats for this Matchup, where russians go fast penals(+ scout car)?
As OKW this kinda feels very opressiv to deal with. At least with a normal volks build.
Sometimes i try 2 volks 1 raketen to insta wipe the scout car, but this ends up being even worse. The faust comes to late.
Volks basically loose even in green cover. Sturm pio get annihalted even if they flank close range.

Doctrinal call-ins left that should be buildable and bound to tech with upcoming commander rework:
Ostheer:
StuG III Ausf. E. -> Support Armor Corps (T3 building)
USF
Greyhound -> HQ after double officer or officer + appropiate officer tech
UKF
Valentine -> at Platoon Command Post after AEC/Bofors tech or at Company Command Post
Land Mattress -> Company Command Post
Late game artillery, heavy tanks and Command Tanks should remain untouched.
Valentin is no call in anymore.

i have 3 falls, all 2 vet upgraded, so 12 FG42's standing still. Do you know what 12 FG42's do to infantry?
So, 1 single assault infantry section comes walking to me from long range to grenade range. the 12 FG42's manage to drop 1 single model from his assault section and he manages to fosphor me. Granted, he didnt kill my squad but man .......... How is this ever balanced. I didnt even start about his AA half track, super quick cromwell or anything like that.
My philosopy is that if the UKF is at equal skill, he wins 100% of the time.

As far as I know the only other faction with the ability to convert an ambient building is UKF with their doctrinal "Observation post" ability, so it's not really a widespread concern.
Also: You're right, FHQ should be rebalanced. That hasnt happened though, and we can but hope we see it changed in the upcoming Commander Patch. Making some map structures off-limits to the ability is the only available stopgap until that happens.
Fhq got already a nerf.
Before the current version i didnt need cp and could be used on foreign soil. Now you have to use it in your own territory, which at least in 3v3 and 4v4 takes a lot from this ability since you cant use it as aggressive as it used to be.
I climbed rank one in 4v4 back in 2016 with it. For 1v1 i cant really tell since it dont play that anymore. |
Yes, artillery is what makes this game suck ass. It needs to be removed. But some dumb ass at relic thinks its good to have the game decided by RNG. Fire this dumb ass and remove the arty. EZ.
Nerf it to shit and I guarantee the player base goes up 5000%.
No one wants to play a perfect game just to have their army erased by some noob who made caches then spammed arty.
Every game I play, where arty gets spammed, ends in frustrated players calling each other arty noobs, racial slurs, etc.
This is usually only a prob in large game modes like 4v4. The game is designed for 1v1. but no one uses arty in 1v1. Just remove this aspect and be done with with.
Remove snipers, nerf mortar and rocket indirect, and remove arty and this game would be a million times more popular.
Go another step further where your commander choices leave you with no counter to something on the field and it would be even better.
Coh2 would easily hands down be the best RTS ever made. Except for a few stupid choices made at the beginning.
