So now this map has 'fortresses'???
I guess you guys are talking about the wooden shacks that will come crushing down when hit by a rifle nade?
BIG problem indeed... |
Many of you forget two Things here:
1) A lot of players actually have no clue what GG stands for. They're just lemmings doing what everyone else is. Same as with LOL.
2) Quite a few players you match up against do not speak English. They may for that reason just type GG as sort of a 'hello' or 'goodbye'.
So there are actually reasons not to feel offended if the winning player throws a GG. Especially not if it's the only communication you had since GL HF.
I'm more concerned by the lack of communication tbh. I feel it has dropped a lot compared to COH1, and I partly blame the missing lobby for it.
The lobby was the cave of the pocket-nazis, I know, but it was also a place to get to know strangers a bit before you killed them on the battlefield.
I had a handfull good contacts build like that. I think it does add to a good gaming comunity. |
Funny comments, but I think most of you overlooked something: Paks can be rammed deliberately. Not just because it gets in the way. |
All I know is that the replacement AI behaves differently from the skirmish AI, which cheats heavily.
But does anyone know if the replacement AI also cheats wrt. full vision and extra ressources? |
What level of damage does exploding barrels of fuel actually do? It seems to be more than just an animation. |
No thanks. I don't need any more pop-ups that blocks the field of fire.
I'm all fine with just one click. I could do without the zooming circles in screaming yellow, though. |
The critique - as the 120 mm shells - are wide off the mark imo.
I use 120 mm frequently, but they are never top killers. I bet that is the case with 99% of all other players too because close contact units are much more effective than a low precision big boomer, that fires a volley every 5 seconds and where the target mosten often has left a long time ago before the shell lands.

It was the same problem in COH1. You cannot balance the game for as well 1v1 as 4v4.
Relic has chosen to balance for 1v1 and partially for 2v2, which I fully understand.
However, I think it would be quite simple to alleviate some of the unbalance in 3v3+ by putting some kind of tax on the german ressourceincome in those games.
Ie. don't touch units or abilities at all. Just lower ressources for the german side in 3v3 and 4v4. I suppose it should be possible. |
Good point. I don't know.
I thought it was the same thing? |
COH2 is a bit different from COH1 when it comes to xp gain. Laying mines for example, does not give xp.
So what is the full list of actions that gives you xp?
This is what I can think of right now:
- Killing and damaging units
- Constructing base buildings (do bunkers and trenches give xp?)
- Crushing camp fires (why, exactly???)
