Profile of Moranh

Panzerfusilier are borderline broken at the moment in my opinion. The normal squad is already pretty good once it gets vet, but with G43 they counter US and Soviet troops at exactly the ranges those should excel at. Even against snipers the G43 perform pretty good since they moving modifiers are better than those of the Kar98k. In general I think it's a no-brainer upgrade, as they get more vision range and get better at every single range as well as better on the move.

I am no pro or strategist but I am finding it very hard to counter the panzer fusiliers once they vet up and its so hard to wipe that squad with its 6 models. I have been trying to pin with 50cal. and then move in but these with an ISG are pretty damn good even against that. They do feel like they at least slightly nullify rifles strengths. What are people finding most effective to counter?

A big problem is how this forces the Ostheer to ALWAYS get Panthers or a Tiger / Tiger Ace, or an Elefant. Because no matter how bad strangle your opponent, he always pulls late-game call-ins out of his ass. The resource system is way too forgiving in that respect.

Having played a few matches against Sov in the last few days where I forced them off the map almost completely. Kept wiping squads and winning the manpower battle only to be (very) surprised when all of a sudden T34-85 dual call-ins arrived and changed the game quickly. In both cases I was left wondering how they had afforded the call-ins and would be interested to see as it felt forgiving for players in that position to be receiving the heavy armour call-ins they got. I understand a comeback mechanism but inept play is inept play.

More on topic I also feel that the lack of Ger "heavy" infantry and the death of the panzergrens is a big issue with the M3. The lowered armour values seem to make this car much more effective and also homogenises the feeling of the vanilla factions (something I think will become starker once US and OKW are in play). Ger inf need to be a little tankier I feel, to compensate for M3 tactics and differentiate the factions again.

I have to agree with a lot of points here. I definitely think going back to vCoH is not the way forward and the game has to stand on its own merits and make the design decisions it made really work. I think the new patch is a step in the right direction but needs the careful attention and balance support to make it flourish and rekindle this game. The quick hotfix was a great sign but i worry that western armies DLC will push balance back too far again. In terms of early game state-of-play it really does feel as though soviets need some help. What I am not sure about is if it needs to be in the form of a more micro-intensive ger early game, or a soviet-side buff that can help make the early engagements a little more winnable. I am actually enjoying my soviet victories more these days as wehn i win early game it is due to unconventional (previously) combos of units/micro and flanking. I feel the germans need some more of that in their game to balance it all out. Possibly making maxim arc larger? (marginally) or improve combat engis damage at range to aid in cons having a chance when they close distance? This patch is making Soviets adapt and try new things/combined arms so why not make that happen to Ger as well?

You do realise that video doesn't show 3 second input lag or support your argument? While the video is 3 seconds long the click is a good second in and i would say it was 0.5-1 seconds before they responded. While it is noticeable i would be interested to see if it was pre or post-patch. Also even with that lag dodging grenades/molotovs is eminently doable.
