You would think people would catch on
He is person with unknow gaming experience, but create and write in ballance topics very often.
Strange, that I do not believe him? |
Every new day, new nerf allies topic? |
this one fact ...recrewing after killing the models...is a big bonus compared to other mobile artys....all other will be destroyed (in only 1% cases abandoned)
this is one of the most frustrating on this unit...u kill the models...but must destroy the unit...which is not possible with small wepoans.
Push and steal it. There is no greater satisfaction, than to turn back the enemy's own weapon. |
You have to keep in mind that the land mattress shoots its rockets against Germans which have a very different play style in order to keep themselves in the game in comparison to the Allies.
USF and SOV are front line factions that have good/large squads that deal good damage which is needed against the superior German MG42. They have fast and mobile tanks that can move to different parts of the map very fast. UKF is very static but has brace to stand against Panzerwerfers and Stuka zu Fuß.
Germans (especially) Ost rely on their superior weapon teams. The PaK40 is the best PaK in the game, the MG42 is the best MG (on par with the Vickers IMO). These both units are the backbone of the German forces and a Land Mattress simply roasts them with a single barrage. You kill the two PaKs the Ost player has and the chance is high that he can't do anything against your tanks, because the P4 is weaker than your Cromwell and the StuG is easily circled without PaK support. Panther comes too late. The huge area of effect and the many rockets of the LM makes it hard to miss the support weapons.
OKW on the other hand suffers in general against UKF because it was designed to be a faction that has its headquarters on the front. With an OKW medic HQ, which is needed against UKF in team games because of LeIGs to fight all the Allied artillery stuff, it is easy to wipe whole squads as UKF if you know where the HQ is positioned. The land mattress denies one of the core mechanics OKW has.
Artillery currently is way too strong. The only artillery pieces balanced are the German mortar and the russian small one IMO. LeFH and the russian one (including B4 which nobody uses) are also okay because they fire huge shells slowly in a large area.
Panzerwerfer and Stuka at least are halftracks that die to a single tank shot (just like the katy). But the Calliope is a tank that does not require any teching and has the armor of a M4 Sherman, meaning it takes about 4 to 5 shots in order to kill it, which you won't achieve unless you have a huge tank army which means you would win the game either way.
Remove Stuka zu Fuss and Panzerwerfer from game. Ost can get old good nebel (from CoH1)in T3. OKW can get Stuka zu Fuss in some Doctrines. Then you can nerf again matres and calli. |
once again...the time which u have to move ur units after hear the sound from LM is under 4sec.
heavy tanks under 25% life will be destroyed...medium tanks under 40% will be destroyed--- light tanks under 70% will be destroyed..
maybe u should play the right game...not tetris
All Panzerwerfer, Katy, Calli, Matress and Stuka zu Fuss can be very painful, if used well. |
The model spacing rework won't help grenadiers, it only improves so squads doesn't clump when rapidly clicking them in different directions. Grenadiers still get wiped to 1 mortar shell, 1 tank shot, 1 grenade by just standing in their standard formation.
This easily happen every infantry in the current state. Try Brits Tommies put in cover and fight versus MG, covered with mortar. After one shot better you leave the cover, than risking sqad wipe. At first I was angry only on Ost mortar, but they do it all. |
If a flak half track on cut off point is GG, what about a Bofor! They both arrive around the same time now.
This know you better, I see you have very much experience. I dont play 1v1. Sometimes I watch pro 1v1, but nobody build bofor. Just spam infantry on both side, for outcaping enemy. Strange, in my games, you have all cap in two min and then just keep forcing the enemy.
In large team games, you can ask for help your teammates to deal with rushing light vehicle. You have more fuel income, is space and time to build catches. Therefore is rush for Cromwell, much more surer way in team games.
I just wanted to alert to changes in ballance AEC and Flak HT. |
With the changes of MortarUSF in v1.05, I have done some tests in the WBP v1.05, some issues and inconsistencies continue in the patch as in live
Nice work. Can you add range scater, ect. ?
I cannot find some usable table, with units comparation. |
Hi, I have always wondered this and before you accuse me of knowing nothing about balance, I am not saying this is not balanced. But anyway, how does it balance out that sov/wehr get no bonuses from teching whereas USA get a unit for every teir level (LT, Capt, Maj), OKW get a forward building (med, mech and flak)and british get artillery ability. I understand that Wehr unlock rifle nade/mg ability so maybe that discounts the british teiring.
Alongside these teir bonuses the new factions do not have to use a pio/engineer to build the new teir. This means old factions get no/little bonus and have waste engineer time. I am not saying that the factions should be homogenized but it seems that the new factions have a step up on the old ones.
If someone knows how this balances out please tell me. The only thing i could see is maybe less manpower to tech but I am unsure this is the case.
Thanks and I welcome flaming
What Ostheer can do, OKW do it better. |
If they get the same costs, I would even be all for that. Considering the cost of the Ostheer Panzer IV in relation to its performance, the Sherman offers a much better deal (being almost as good at dealing with medium tanks, significantly better at dealing with infantry, and having duct tape right off the start). And seeing as the Ostheer Panther is not much better off, I also doubt that many players would be happy about the equalisation of the Easy 8.
Over the last year, we have seen the tank superiority (what was left of it) on the Axis side being obliterated, with nothing in the slightest being done to make up for it. The Sherman got multiple rounds of buffs without any cost increasements, and the British tanks have been punching significantly above their weight since release (for the most part, the Churchill is the overwhelming exception to that). Hell, even the Soviets saw some rework to their tanks (with the IS-2 in the end receiving the same frontal armour as the King Tiger, while Tiger I didn't see anything but nerfs). The claim that Axis tanks are a better investment for their cost is a pure lie at this point - and the only exception to that in the other direction is the StuG, which is kept in check by its numerous downsides.
I welcome changes in price. Some units overperforming for they price, then it is a good price (fuel, manpower) increase. For example Cromwell need 10 fuel increase. But all need to understand that each side has a certain advantage. |
