does this commander have any use? Might as well go joint ops ost IMO.
I'm talking about the OKW fortifications doctrine, which is a little more viable because the Pak43 would provide the only viable manpower based anti tank option for the faction. That being said it would only be useful on maps with grouped VPs, because its to much of a population/upkeep drain for as easily as its kited. |
Yeah, it seems pretty useless now. Even has trouble suppressing in neutral cover at mid range for the full duration. Kind of an overnerf if you ask me. |
Oh I've never actually built the flak I didn't realize it costs fuel. Still, seems like an overlap in the commander tree, would have made sense to switch the flak emplacement w/ something else, or given bunkers more utility than just the mg. |

So I was really excited to see if the bunker in the fortifications doctrine could provide healing, as this would allow me to skip T1, and was a little disappointed to find out that it can only be upgraded to an mg. Isn't this a little bit redundant in a commander that already provides a flak emplacement? Are there any circumstances that you would rather have a bunker? Maybe I'm missing something. |
IDK what your talking about krono, they vet quickly and by the time they get vet they are absolute beasts. Also, having access to an ostwind is my wetdream as OKW. I've been hoping for this commander from the moment I saw it. |
To be honest though, try T2 T3 guards with a fast T70 into double T34-85s. Once you roll out T34-85s the OKW struggles to deal with them, guards are beastly w/ DPs and maxims, mortars, and atgs all do work. |
Honestly I really want to like them, but they are pretty worthless. They do almost zero damage unless at point blank range, and the 4 man squad makes them a liablity to use with the flamethrower. Your better off getting another rifle squad in almost all situations.
That coupled with the fact that the armor commander kinda meh now that the regular T4 sherman fills the role of the bulldozer sherman, and the vehicle crew thompson upgrade costs 60(?) munis, and is again on a squishy 4 man squad, its a pretty lackluster commander overall imo. |
I would say so, I was the closest I've ever been to quitting this game was when MG42 spam was wrecking everything. Since then the game has improved incrementally with every patch, and the WFA release was surprising smooth and well balanced. The future is bright, now is a better time than ever to come back! |

Rear echelon... wow such great utility that can be performed better by other units. I can give you rear and give me kubel ok ? or better sturm that are shredding infantry.
Im really sick of biased post on coh forums. Everytime when okw,werhmacht player loses game it is because OP units, first soviets now US are OP.
Im not best player but also i'm not blaming my loses on OP units.
Did you even read all of what I had to say? My comments aren't crying for buffs/nerfs to any faction in particular. Lol @ this guy calling me out for being faction biased and saying that the coh community is bad without even bothering to read the entire content of my posts.
