The initial cost of a unit is trivial compared to its lifetime cost on the battlefield.
That lifetime cost will be influenced almost entirely by the reinforcement cost of that unit. A rifleman squad costs 280 to deploy, but keeping it alive all game could cost you 1,000.
Similarly, Fallschirms cost 440 to deploy, but are cheaper to reinforce in the long run, saving you hundreds of manpower throughout the life span of that unit.
The reinforcement cost of a unit is always more important than its spawn in cost. That's part of why the old Jager Light Infantry were so awkward- cheap to make, but they tanked your economy hard.
That's not the problem, the problem is that late game Allied inf relies on squad wiping stuff like ISU, KV-8, IS-2, hell, even the T-34 or Sherman can kill inf left and right. |

Kubel is only OP as long as the driver does not decide to do crazy stunts like making a donut turn when order to reverse or shooting at a rear echelon squad when a rifle squad charge straight into your face. Other than that, it is very nice, especially with the vet 1 ability. |
IMHO, this unit is the only option for USF to breakthrough MG/Pak pocket. Especially when OH decides to hang back and sit on fuel. Against OKW unless the med track is within its range, you better get an ATG because this things kill the truck unbelievably slow and OKW unit tend to be more mobile than their OH counterpart. |
Sturmpios are fine now after this patch, they were a little too lethal in the previous one.
They are a builder unit and that should be reflected in the price of the squad which it is now. They still dominate the first engagement you have in each game, only difference is that cover is more important. You can't just rush and win EVERY engagement with the opponents first unit anymore like you could before.

But they kill maxim and chase sniper much less effective now, these two units doe not care about the received accuaracy modifier at all, and with reduced comabt dmg, Sturmpio in late game is little more than overpriced Pio if they don't have vet. |
In this patch, everything Sturmpio can do, Assault Engineer do better and at lower cost except mine sweeping. (And don't forget demo charge) |

PAK 43 is just insane in Stalingrad, middle Semoisky, Kholodny Ferma and south Langreskaya, especially against US and Soviet who chose to spam E8, T-34/85 (No off-map 1 shot BS). |
