Vet for US and WM in coh1 works great (maybe it was flawed at one point but in the games final state is fine), most complaints against it are l2p issues.
Uhm vet for Wehr maybe ok for 1v1, in team game vet 3 gren horde + zombie bunker = unbeatable, heck you can even spam volk and med bunker will give gren to you, also it throws unit preservation out of the window. |
brit sniper is only better than japanese sniper.
I'm happy to trade SU sniper with Brit sniper, 2-man seems more like a liability than advantage. |
Even then it would need to be limited to one at a time. Even mid game, being able to drop a gren squad to 2 models (even if there's 3 squads) is way too powerful. Only time it would be balanced is at late game, when you really don't need them that much (at least at most levels of play).
Make it a cheap ability but with long cooldown like infiltration nade, that ability can be used to soft counter MG in building too, USF has no late game effective counter to sniper and Garrisoned MG so that would give Pathfinders some utility, alternatively it can be a recon element upgrade to rifleman like the old vCOH upgrade for IS, Rifleman can no longer pickup weapons but they gain increased sight and a snipe ability with long cooldown. |
Sure nerf poor Guard even more, LMG blob has been a problem since Allied lack effective HMG to control em, LMG should be something that deals good dmg but more affected by cover than rifle, I think that would make more sense. |
That was way too close for a defeat, kudos to Clarity, but why float muni so much? |
20 and 23.
Who even cares about the low-key OP Panzerfüsiliers When Jaeger Light Infantry and Scavenge commander are so much better.
Cuz 6-man Pf just laugh at sniper and Jaeger need a lot of babysitting to be effective. Also Pf blob + JT = ownage in team game. |
Get rid of emplacements altogether, nobody like it in vCOH and Relic still like to stick with it. |
Katitof has actually done this in the past, and it puts most to shame. Not that you should be surprised by this, since he is also a Dev elsewhere.
I rather like the fact that he hides his card and simply challenges you to explain a rash point, based on argument. Katitof mostly leaves novice posters alone, for which they should be thankful.
Mostly, however, I follow Katitof and his ilk for the robust arguments which used to zing back and forth between himself, JohnyB, the HK Spiritual Choir, Alexsandrev, and followers like Rollo. When at their zenith, the sparring produced as much fun as anything else you see here - not sure any of them would agree though.
In Kati we trust!
Hey I haven't used it in a while but can IL-2 bombstrike be used in base sector? PTAB too? |
Zis-3, Pak40 and Raket have already received camouflage abilities.
57mm and 6 pounder do not get camouflage, but 57mm can extend its range(but get nerfed with balance preview) and 6 pounder have 50% acc bonus.
In other word, all at-guns are quite balanced now. Only 57mm and M42 atgun need to be revised.
Zis camo should only work when stationary, currently with cloak every animation of the gun is slowed as a turtle, so after the first shot player need to deactivate cloak which is really annoying. |
And the SU-85 has the highest penetration at range and rate of fire of either three stock Allied TDs with one of the Allied TDs relying on an expensive gimmick to get anything done. Furthermore, it probably has the highest survivability against the the main predators of TDs which is ATGs by being the hardest to hit.
It is worse against heavies in terms of the number of shots required to kill, but it's also not as punished for its misses and does better at the range their intended to fight at. Furthermore, it can self-spot which helps it as the Jackson got a massive hit to its self-sighting veterancy in the Balance Preview. Firefly can get a TC for more LOS, but it's also the most expensive TD of the bunch and can still die at the same rate as the SU-85 if not faster.
Penetration
SU-85: 240/230/220
Jackson: 240/220/200
Firefly: 260/240/210
Accuracy
SU-85: 0.055/0.045/0.04 (0.5 Moving)
Jackson: 0.055/0.045/0.035 (0.75 Moving)
Firefly: 0.08/0.07/0.05 (0.75 Moving)
Reload Including Wind-up/Windown
SU-85: 5.4
Jackson: 7.425 (Includes wind-down and wind-up)
Firefly: 10 (8 in Preview)
And people saying that the SU-85 tickles heavies, most games show heavies and tanks will generally back away after receiving 1-2 penetrating shots unless it's an all in or it's chasing a badly wounded unit. And the SU-85 only needs 1 more shots to kill the 1040 and 1280 heavies which by that point, it has already put in another shot thanks to its faster reload. It also penetrates the KT 76% of the time at veterancy 2 with that penetration buff versus 51% of the time with its old penetration.
Ok so the SU-85 does have its advantages and it needs some time to get used to, it's just that after a long time using Jackson/Firefly, I'm kinda allergic to turretless vehicle that have poor acc (Jackson/Firefly kites Tiger like a champ but SU-85 is more of a ambush type of vehicle). So new SU-85 needs a lot of babysitting compared to before in exchange to more reliable dmg output against heavy tanks. |
