I did notice in my most recent game that I was right on par with the initial buildings. I've just had games where there's a little bit of lag right off the bat, and then it stops; I thought maybe that could be affecting it.
Thanks for the advice!
EDIT: I'm no stranger to the keyboard in games, I've spent a large chunk of my life playing The Elder Scrolls and Fallout! |
I have a couple of questions here.
1. Hotkeys. How did you all get adept at using them? I know the obvious answer is practice, but are there any tips or tricks? I feel like if I could properly utilize them, I would be a lot better off.
2. In the postgame, I've looked at the construction tab and noticed I'm typically building a lot slower than my opponent, mainly because it takes me longer to get into the match.
I'm currently running the following specs:
Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz; 3.0 GB RAM; AMD Radeon HD 7700. My game runs rather smooth as long as I don't have any windows open, with a lag here and there; but nothing major. Would more RAM fix my issue? I was thinking maybe a gig or two more.
I have been seeing improvement in my play, with more practice and study. I feel like these two fixes could help out tons though. |

Welcome! I'm basically a newb myself, especially online. |
Not only were these good for a laugh, they're easy on the eyes as well. Great work! |
Hans, you were the first streamer I watched just yesterday, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Your match against c0mpl3x1ty had me on the edge of my seat. |
I missed some of the matches due to work, but I was able to catch most of the semis and the final. I didn't think I would be as entertained as I was, but it was a lot of fun. You guys did a great job of casting. |
Hey everyone. I played vCOH but never online other than a couple of times. I intend to do so with COH2 as soon as my copy arrives.
I found coh2.org by looking through links on Google, and I have to say this is a pretty cool place. One of the gripes I heard a lot about vCOH from other players was the lack of a strong community, and it's nice to see one here.
I registered on Twitch to follow TFN because this game and it's community needs the support. The tournament was real joy to watch, and it only fueled my interest in the series.
I look forward to learning from everyone, and hopefully we can play a match or two. Just go easy on me, I'm not very good! |
