I thought this was a nice game:

Notice the T-70 spam strat, not only got early Shreks but was able to steal one and kill a t-70 with it! |
It's been my opinion that most games today, especially the higher profile ones, focus way too much on how pretty they are. They put so much focus and effort into the graphics I find that it is starting to take away from the game itself.
I guess it depends on the person, but I don't buy games to stare at them and admire how pretty they are, I buy them for the game play and to blow shit up. Game play is taking a back seat to new graphics benchmarking in many cases. Even with simpler graphics and effects, vCOH was and still is very pretty, but that's not why people have played it for so many years. It's because the game play is awesome. COH2 is obviously "prettier" but nowhere near as fun to play. (an opinion... yes, but shared by a fair number)
The only way I can actually stand to play COH2 is to turn the settings all to low, lest I find myself spending half the game searching the screen for the units right in front of me, this seems to help, as well as with performance.
To address the topic title... If you are looking for a piece of art, I suggest hanging a picture on the wall or putting some nice piece on display. Keep games fun to play, nobody plays with art in any other circumstance.
Obviously the game needs to be fun, but for me, I like to be immersed in the game, so having a beautiful and realistic looking game helps that immersion.

thoughts on requiring 1 or 2 vet on a t-34 to unlock ram?
and/or possibly removing the main gun damage on the two tanks after the collision
Requiring a vet crew and the chance the tank might be able to keep firing should make the choice to use ram one that takes more thought then just "PANZER! RAM IT"
Historical blah blah:
I'm gonna guess that a veteran crew would be more likely to try a risky ram then some new conscripts, and that it would be a last ditch move cause no one really wanted to die
I like the idea that it requires vet 1 for ram but it does need a buff if you are going to do that. |
It's a pity there is still no official response from RELIC about this su85 issues while they acknowledge the other stuff Russians make continous whines about.
The said they are balancing each stage of the game starting with the early game, then mid and late game. I think their doing it right. |
I disagree. Winter maps with great light look very cool

love the 1st one |
what's your internet connection ? you need to make sure you have a good upload speed as well.
Edit: sorry I just noticed your internet connection, it should be fine.
is the lag/delay only when watching streaming or is your game choppy as well? |
Does anyone else remember when manuals were actual books and took a good few hours to read? (nostalgia)...
Ahhh yes, being 30, I miss those |
the idea is if you have a pak, you only need 1 schrek to support it
yeah, that's fine then. |
RI also think PGs should be able to buy single shreks for 60-75 munis like in vcoh. This would make it a lot more easier for Ostheer players to be able to counter the t70's spam.
I think the T-70 will kill that single shrek squad, unless you already have one with double shreks |
