Trying out an early-ish luch, turns out it works awesome on a map that is usually cumbersome for tanks. Stealth especially really proved itself.
Not the best of games, Noise of Carpet had some very, very unlucky rolls on his part, and I was able to capitalize on the game's shortcomings in RNG.
He gave me a tough time though, and with just a few minor tweaks I believe he could have beaten me soundly or at the very least forced me to drastically rethink my strategy.

So yeah. Basically.. Yeah. This one was all kinds of messed up, I had to stroke my lucky RNG charms for good measure and even with that this could have gone terribly, terribly wrong. #GiantBlob #Incendiaryinstawipe #DumbOKW #StukaSaves In: Replays |

What happens when OKW manages to hold off their resources relatively unchallenged, and a Stuka goes uncountered for over half an hour? Well, this match aims to answer that question. In: Replays |

A nice 30 minute game on Kholodny Ferma, it went back and forth quite fluidly. In: Replays |

I hate this match. I don't feel I did very good, but I felt compelled to upload it just to vent my frustration about US v OKW meta. He pushed so hard, and did so well and still it wasn't enough. I'll probably be taking pointers from his OKW play and incorporating it into my own, I really liked how effective his early Sturmpio pushes were and how strong the Puma felt to be. Personally, I think he should have been even more aggressive, but that would've been risky. In: Replays |

He had me completely out-played, out-gunned, out-manned, out-positioned; you name it, he had it over me. It was a combination of luck and a healthy dose of wariness that brought this game to a surprizing end. *sighs* I wish the economy made sense, and I wish Obersoldaten weren't so, so very good. I wish a lot of things, but for the time being I'm stuck banging my head against extremely tough early games where I'm simply starved for all resources. In: Replays |

Our go-to Wehr support crashed minutes into the game. The promised support from the Wehrmacht Panzergruppe Lehr never arrived - instead the ragged scraps of a recent festung loss were formed together into a haphazard Freiwillige batallion - spelling disaster to the 6th Heavy Panzer Division, which was pressing on to retake 'liberated' France and push the yankees back. The unforeseen arrival of the 2nd Shock Army of the Soviet Red Army from the east forced the 2nd Batallion of the Panzergruppe to dig in and hold positions, while the western flank saw tremendous artillery barrages and unyielding assaults as the Allied Warmachine pumped out tank after tank. A fabled Königstiger, commanded by the zealous Sturmbannführer Hauptmann was lost to bad positioning and quick allied tactics, while an equally formidable Jagdtiger was bombed to bits by Priests, 120mm Heavy Mortars and the resounding "Oorah!" of Soviet mad-dash charges. Still, the much improved Panzer Kämpfwagen V 'Panther' Ausf. G were coordinated into an elite speartip, which was then stabbed back and forth, from the east to the west flank, wrecking Allied advances and spreading panic amongst the ranks of the US Tankers. The Soviets knew no such panic, and charged in regardless of the risks. A Knight's Cross with Crossed Swords and Maple Leaves was commended to Feldwebel Ernst Braun for his outstanding performance in the up-gunned version of the Panzer IV Ausf. H Medium Tank. Though Braun's innovative movements were at first seen as risky, it was quickly shown how effective a single, highly mobile gun platform could be in the hands of a skilled crew. A second Kinght's Cross with Maple Leaves was also commended to the whole crew of the Stuka, which managed to utterly halt the enemy advance on several key moments. Had it not been for the crack training of this formidable crew, it is likely that the German infantry would have been utterly crushed in the face of impossible odds. Little was known of the German Pak-43 positions, which, while not scoring a multitude of kills, were able to secure massive swathes of territory and at times giving invaluable support to the Wehrmacht's panzers which were being quickly drowned out against the Allied superior numbers and firepower. Victory was snatched from the jaws of defeat, and to the dismay of the Soviet commander, the Americans opted to scurry out. Too much was lost, and a complete and utter annihilation of the precious Sherman and rare M36 Jackson battalions was out of the question. In: Replays |

Thread: HOW TO - Beating M3 spam on Ferma (OKW)28 Jun 2014, 07:22 AM
Well. At 7 minutes long and seeing at least 5 M3s, I think this replay speaks for itself. I'd love to say it was a GG, but my opponent proved to be a hulking stereotype. Edit: The biggest issue with OKW going vs. Soviet, is the fact you simply do not know for certain if the guy is going to spam M3s or not. This issue is related to OKW's gimped resource income, which at 2/3rds of the usual for FU and MU is a huge impediment to adapting. I get the sense when playing OKW, that I am having to play 3-4 minutes ahead. When you get that Halftrack, it better not be facing anything capable of taking it out. The US halftrack being able to fire on the move makes it vastly superior. Picking your units early on, unlike with other factions, limits your upgrade options for your existing troops. I was lucky in this game that my opponent didn't simply point-blank rush my AA halftrack. Then again, I assume he simply was not aware that AA Halftracks for the OKW have a minimum range they cannot fire within. TL;DR NERF M3 - Kübel Kübel is OP - Wooden Fence Kübel and M3 are fine - WC51 'toiletcar' In: Replays |
