Thread: Round 2 of the 2v2 Titans!1 Apr 2014, 14:08 PM We already had 2x werfer and needed the Panthers to push to take out SU85s/ISU152 as well as help against the large number of T34s running around. I've always found leFH18 best used to shell enemy bases - which combos nicely with werfers. Wefers force low hp retreats, leFH18 picks off the squad by shooting the base. Very hard to position a leFH18 on that map to hit the enemy base sector, it'd be very vulnerable - also Marcus had a bombing run in his doctrine so there's a good chance he would have just blown it up anywhere I built it, making Panthers a better investment. Thread: Do you think this patch is balanced?30 Mar 2014, 17:13 PM If we can get some good constructive feedback going in this thread similar to what Ivan did - a short list of what should get buffed/nerfed/change then we could try to make sure the powers that be take a look at it. My list: 1 - Increase Con damage at mid/close range so as long as they close they gap they beat Grens convincingly. 2 - Remove the 1.2 armor from PGrens 3 - Decrease LMG42 damage OR push it back to BP 2 or 3 that way Soviet could have tanks out to deal with LMG Grens instead of their infantry just dying helplessly. I'm wondering if Soviets and Germans will be available stand-alone at similar price points. That would be awesome. In theory people would only have to shell out $12 to try out multi-player and then only another $12 if they wanted to play in tournaments. Sure they'd be at a mild disadvantage without being able to actually play the two factions they didn't purchase but a $24 investment to get into CoH 2 + tournaments is a pretty good deal in my book. Also I think it'd be really cool if Relic made CoH 2 free to play for 2-4 weeks before the new factions launched. I think with the infantry patch we just got, plus the next patch they have in the works we're going to have a damn awesome game. Awesome game mechanics plus new faction hype plus free to play means everyone/anyone could come back and give the new CoH 2 a try. I think this infantry patch has been the most fun CoH 2 I've played. Tactical play is immensely rewarded and the fights are downright brutal (which is sweet!). Also gotta give big props to Relic, PQ and the rest of their balance team for giving us a hotfix to clear up a few things that didn't hit live as planned faction balance feels pretty damn close again. Thread: HOLY POTATOES !!! patch 3/2527 Mar 2014, 21:20 PM Jump back to quoted post27 Mar 2014, 21:14 PMsluzbenik I don't think Peter or the developers actually played the patch enough in the closed beta, or the beta testers are not very swift, as they would have seen these problems in playtests. My suspicion is that the beta testers, like Relic, enjoy very static games that rely on some initial positions with lack of aggressive play, ie., follow-on attacks, cut-offs, etc. If you need to deal with a support weapon, you don't flank, or move, you just bring out a counter (mortar, sniper etc). When you think about the game from this perspective, which is very low-skill, all these changes make perfect sense, even combat pioneers. You wouldn't risk sending your pio out to attack a squad alone. If you are a noob it's not going to occur to you to send out a gren and pio together to shred up to two conscripts for 40 less manpower. And of course it never occurred to any of them that the most insane, overpowered thing you can do with Ostheer is make 5 grens, upgrade as many as you can with LMGs, buy a halftrack and own the entire map with your gigantic highly mobile army, which is only vulnerable to arty or armor (if you get that far). If video of playtests was ever released, I'm sure it would confirm my suspicions. Believe it or not PQ is actually a really good player. I'd be shocked if he didn't stomp you by a lot in a 1v1 =/ In: COH2 Gameplay

Also amazing to see a game that was completely designed to be a casual party game AND had direct resistance from Nintendo become one of the most watched and competitive games ever through sheer community willpower and dedication.
