Little update, because I think many people are concerned by the Buisnessmodel.

While they never wanted to make it "P2W", the Devs realized that many people would still have doubts, see it as P2W/ it would be harder to balance.

So they changed it to: Every Item that has gameplay impact, will have an stat equivalent findable/not for real Cash ingame!


Other new stuff I can remember right now:

- the Shortstorycontest winners were announced, and theres a new painting/drawing contest.
- The first Foundermodule confirmed to be 10vs10 (SM/CSM) in Q1 of 2015.

Its a good option for already founders, if you wanted points anyway I think. For Free Players, I am not so sure if its a good deal, because you are then still a Free player. But if you plan on later upgrading, its a good entry point (+ the pack in and of itself is great FOR Founders).

I made an new reply, because I know many people were worried about the Cashshop/ dismissed the game after they knew about the old Sidegrade model. New updates will be in the main post. If a mod wants me to put this in the mainpost, I can do it aswell.

The thing with coh 2 is that is increases the skill cap of the game, because it's another place for good players to overcome weaker players. COH 2 already has rather low skillcap, so something increasing it is a very good thing.

Yeah, exactly. I just edited my earlyer post^^. I personally agree that the game could benefit from mechanics that increase the Skillcap, but only if they are implemented with tought.

Capwalking isn't "abuse". It's an interesting use of gameplay mechanics that can provide you with an advantage in some select circumstances, but comes at extreme risk. If you capwalk and your opponent engages the lone infantryman away from the rest of his squad, that man is going to die extremely quickly and without dealing any damage to the opposing unit. Any engagement in the near future is now favoured for the non-capwalking player. It's simple risk and reward, and it forces players to make some interesting decisions. CoH2 is a game that absolutely needs more of those little interesting decisions.

Lol, sorry but I can't agree. It would be a gameplay mechanic if there was a button that said: Spread out. The way it is right now, it is abuse of an unintended mechanic.

(Also there is no disadvantage to it, if you do it in the earlygame while the enemy can't reach your units anyway.)

Until then, if you find an interesting or unintended unit mechanic or interaction, use the fucking thing.

This is the defintion of abuse.

If you want more interesting gameplay mechanics, I am all for it. But don't produce them out of bugs/abuses. Because these "features", because they were unintended, miss important design "rules". The biggest would be that they are not something that is intuitiv to new (or even old) players.
If there is something that truly adds to the Gameplay, then the Devs should take it, and implement it properly. Here for example with a button, or atleast a tipp/tutorial.


(Btw, I have no Idea what the fuck was going on with the Truckcrushing. But in the end, either they were incompetend in one way or the other, or they had a secret strategy how to deal with it, but instead of showing the community the strat, they decided it wasn't good for the game anyway.)

Did you even read the Thread? The point is, that there are no big balance issues, or that altleast they are not the problem. The problem is the Matchmaking.


The Solution would be to either, make Allies cooler, or change the Matchmaking algorithm, so that no matter how long you wait, you wont get paired with players way worse than you.

The negative effect of this would be, that Axis waittimes would be increased even more, but in the end the problem is here right now already. With the changes, you will need ages to find a balanced game, now you need ages to find a balanced game. But the added positive would be that maybe some more people would play Allies.

We NEED a mute button. Don't force us to read every rubbish our enemys want to throw at us.

I just want to mention LoL and Dota here. These games have really toxic communitys, but most problems for me are solved with a mute button. If someone says something a bit offensiv, I just ignore him. If he then again says something bad, I just mute him instead of flaming back, and everyone is happy.
