I'm quite sure engineers got veterancy from their mines in CoH1-

"From each according to his ability, and to each according to his need- and Yuri, you don't need my lunch more than I do!"
Those conscripts aren't as uneducated as they look, apparently. |
MadrRasha- I guess I didn't make it clear, but I wasn't thinking about tournaments with livestreaming and casting and prizes and such- more like a friendly organized event. There's no real way to filter out the properly good players without an ELO rating, but I'd like to think there would be a way around that especially since no prizes would discourage anyone in it 'for the money', so to speak.

I've been intrigued by the idea of taking part in CoH2 tournaments, but the standards of the people taking part in current tournaments like the gamekeys one are way above my own and I doubt I'd stand much of a chance. Are there any middling or lower level tournaments currently in the works that I could take part in, to get a feel of things first? |
One grenadier squad near the Elefant would deal very nicely with a rammer.
The real strength of the Elefant, I think, is not in dealing with soviet tanks. It hard counters the SU-85 and ISU very well, something no other vehicle or structure in the Ostheer arsenal can do. |
Out of all the exclusive commanders this is the only one I was interested in. Pity it isn't available separately. |

Just an idea I had. Given that the mortar halftrack already has an incendiary shell, would it not be logical for the Gr.34 to get an equivalent? It would certainly be more useful than the counter-battery it currently has, and would go a long way towards alleviating the problems the Germans have getting soviet units out of garrisons early game. It would also solve the complaints that the Ost mortar can't deal with 6-man crewed weapons, even those that don't move during a (rather ineffective) barrage.
It wouldn't necessarily need to have the huge splash radius of the MHT version- a cheaper shell with a radius twice that of the molotov radius would probably work as well. |
The highest level player I've seen so far. Was a close fight- his horde of tank destroyers versus my horde of P4s and a very useful Pak43. Pity he still kicks (presumably out of rage) after losing something like 5 or 6 SU-85s. |
You might want to add that while Teller mines usually damage the engine of vehicles, the Riegel will always completely destroy the engine. |
