Thanks Esky, much appreciated that you took the time to have a look and give some feedback. You've kind of summed up a good number of games I've played and lost. I get myself into a great position early in games and then, if i'm against someone who knows what they are doing, let it slip from my grasp. I think early on there are less units, less squads to keep an eye on and it's easier to micro, as more units come onto the field i lose concentration and can't keep control of the whole battlefield. I also think i don't know how to best close a game, whether to go fast M8, maybe WSC,or even tank depot when I'm in a winning position and kind of react to what i see rather than them having to react to me.
Mataranka, you and i played yesterday. It was a pretty good game on Semois though i lost too many squads early and threw my panzer iv away. Once you called in the troops i couldn't hold you off, but i thought i had won the game before that point....I asked for some thoughts on that game over here...
Anyway, Im "Murfenator" on steam/CoH:
Wehr Level: ~6-8
US Level: ~6-8
I play mostly in the evenings around 8:30-10:30pm central time and i'll be in the gamereplays.org channel if anyone wants a game.
Hi, yes i enjoyed that game and thought i'd lost myself at one point. Were you the player who kept walking into my mines? I'd just hear explosions on the map and was constantly giggling to myself. Well chuffed with myself when i won it. I'll add you on steam, if you fancy a re-match just ask.
never heard of generation kill, will definitely check it out. band of brothers is just one of those classic tv shows that i watch every 2-3 years. could never get into mad men and dexter.
