No. We wouldn't want the launch of this awesome feature to be clouded in any kind of "is it fair?" debate. So I'd say at launch, only allow observer slots in custom games, not automatch. That scenario that you suggested can be accomplished easily enough by the player simply streaming his games.

Do you think Observer mode should be available in ranked games? (Automatch pool) I.E. I invite a friend but I start searching 1v1 games (my friend in Spectator mode). Once the game begins, he can only watch what I do. This will be useful for mentors/mentees. |

So, if we were having troubles when facing a 2 man sniper squad, and they create a 5 man squad?
anyway, it is still doctrinal, atm we know 3 US commanders. I don't like the way this game is becoming when they add more commanders / special units.
I have the feeling that the game have more doctrine units than vanilla ones, and there should be almost a counter for everything with the vanilla units. Otherwise, people will carry and pick the OP commanders. |

What about snipers on all factions?
I'm not sure but I think there is no Sniper unit in american faction.
What about OKW ?
Personally, I don't like the idea of not having snipers in american side, it is a mandatory unit. |

I could see in the replay that the M3 crew had a bazooka on it.
Isn't it more viable to kill an enemy scout car 221 by decrewing your M3 and shooting the bazooka instead of chasing it with bullets? |

There are multiple ways to fix it. But not as it is right now.
Please, Relic, change something and lets try it. If it doesn't work we can modify it until we get the desirable effect.
I think people in this community contribute really good in balance with good ideas. Not many of them are applied in the patches. |
