The files are all there & do have the right number in them. My back up does the same thing. |
I made a small tweak to my mod yesterday, a simple one line change.
I noticed when I opened it that there was a lot of red in the output file.
Literally every entry has a line like this:
Instance instanceRef upgrade_name in file c:\users\chris\onedrive\documents\my games\company of heroes 2\mod projects\luftwaffe\instances\abilities\aef\modal_ability\dispatch_ability\m10_deploy.xml references an instance that doesn't exist (00000000000000000000000000000000:upgrade\aef\commander\ability\m10_deploy_clone). Value changed to default.
Nothing has changed since I last built it, just a few days ago. I am very confused as to what is happening as it whipping out a lot of work!
Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated! |
OIC, I could see the Brit layout... is there a way to use the US base, but with Russian or ost heer buildings & not write over the US?
And thanks for your help as always. It takes me days trying 30 different ways to give up on the stone wall. |

I have made a Hungarian base stamp for a new mod I am working on, but am at a loss as how to get it in game. I have tried adding to data/art/stamps just like .apb files but no joy.
Should I be using a stamp or another method? |
Finally got it!
Had to tack it on in the HQ building to an action_apply/actions/delay/ & then add it after a scar function. It wouldn't work with out the scar???

I am interested in adding the WC51 & a Bren carrier to starting forces. (I have don halftracks & a scout car for the Germans & Soviets. No problem with the garrison of an engineer squad etc. The problem I have is that vehicles for UK & USA start inside their base & cant leave. I was thinking a call-in vehicle for them, but cant fathom how. (I am sure OKW used to have an SWS arrive.
Any ideas or insights would be appreciated.
I have tried army/start actions/spawn squad... but it either appears in the middle of the base or the middle of the map. |
Have cured this, will leave the how here in case another modder bumps into the same issue & this turns up in a search.
I went back into the Instances of the tuning pack & examined every file changed In the time-window that the error occurred.
I discovered that I had left some units with 2x:
attributes\abilities\global\army_item_abilities\army_item_global_cover_training
This caused the game to spit the dummy on loading for human. But oddly allowed the AI to play it. |

My Luftwaffe Angriff mod is now broken with the new patch. But only when I play UK. I can play against it with no problem. I can drop all its buildings & units in no problem as a nother player & they work fine.
It is just when you get to the press any key screen on setting up a new game against the computer it gives a white screen then CTDs.
I have rebuilt & cleaned the mod through ModBuilder. I have tried copying the base versions of non unit files over my mod files. Nit nothing is letting me play a game.
Please not that this is not the STEAM version, as I have been updating it over the last week.
Has anyone bumped into something like this & is there a cure or way to fathom what is causing the error???
