I've been trying out osttruppen doctrine recently but can't figure out what bulletins to put on. Usually i put bulletins that buff gren because i can use it at the start of the game but don't think that's applicable to osttruppen. In general, i'm not too familiar with the bulletins, any advice? |
it's mainly the cavalry rifleman from mechanized company i have trouble dealing with, normal rifleman is fine and truck is defendable. Against cavalry rifleman, volks can't kill models long range quick enough to be able to contest them when they get close and murder you. they can force me to retreat almost every time. And since they come out at 1cp, OKW mg is far too late that i can't use it against early rushes. 1 sturm 3 volk even in cover cannot win an engagement against 3 cavalry rifleman. All this means the USF player will have a huge resource advantage over me because i can't successfully defend points. |
How to defend against early rushes from a USF player using mechanized company? I have played against it around 5 times and lost every single one. Every time it’s an early game of 2 RE and about 3 cavalry riflemen that makes multiple early blob rushes, forcing me to hard retreat or lose squads. The cavalry riflemen comes out at 1 cp, can easily outduel sturms and volks at close range and has more than enough health to get to close range. Then the truck comes out for more close range brawl and chasing down retreating squads. It’s impossible to maintain map presence and usually get snowballed.
Any help is appreciated.

but when would you call them in. Maybe because I'm a noob but i can't get 3CPs early enough to call them in when there aren't tanks and can be used to full potential. Midgame i mainly build support weapons to augment my volk squads and i need to counter the allies light vehicle which falls is of no help. Then later in the game, I rather have obers. Is there an ideal time for it? |
Recently trying out OKW luftwaffe ground forces in 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 and would like some advice on when and how to use fallshirmjagers. I love it's firepower but can't take full use of it in most games.
My trouble with the timing is that it comes at 3CP when my infantry lineup is normally quite set and filled with volks and sturmpioneers. I can't use it at the start where it would be the most powerful. Midgame it doesn't have any anti-tank capabilities and lategame i would have obers to replace dead squad. So when is it the most effective?
As for how to use it, it's 440 mp is very expensive and it is much more fragile than I expect. It also gets countered hard by any tanks, so how is it meant to be used?

Hi, i'm new to the forum and bit new to the game too. Would like some help on when to upgrade my grens with G43. I find myself either playing too much of the match with non-upgraded grens because i don't want to lock in a doctrine too early, or i would lock in say elite troop doctrine early for the G43 and find out i actually wanted some off-map artillery in late game. When is the right time to choose?
