I've been wanting to share this map that i'm working on.
During the map creation and playtesting i've come across several things that need to be addressed in order to have it finished.
Maybe people on here can give me feedback / tips / advice on what to do with it.
The map is meant to be a tug-o-war through different sections , much like multiple maps in one game.
The several districts and islands connected with one long road makes this decently possible for prolonged and sometimes even stressful games.
The sheer size of the map also adds a new dimension towards logistics and things like paratroopers.
(like, really, REALLY! drop far behind enemy lines!)
The most forwards issue i have is the pathing of the AI.
I can not for the love of **** get units to walk across the entire map without (often) trying to take a shortcut through the water and thus making units clot up near the river end unless you account for the AI's directional patterns.
