Two racketen do gods work. They fire real fast, pen almost all ally tank, have 5 men, and can escape close up death by retreating. The only faction that can sort of counter them is Soviets with katyushka. But besides that USF and UK have no chance and have to rely on doctrinal units. |
Honestly, Falls can keep their current performance and price if and only if every other elite infantry get a AT Granade and a bundle nade a like. Most of the allies have CQC elite units. (Shocks,Rangers,Paras) Even better just give them light gammon bomb, with bundle nade range. Commandos are ok, just need AT nade. |
Yeah I think the problems lie with its spammability. Allies really dont have anything to deal with them effectively like a stuka or werfer. Any allies indirect fire is very random. Katty scater is very bad, pack howies are expensive and painfully slow. UKF have literally no counter. Only the bad land matress. US have calliope and priest, but its an expensive counter. You can wipe 5 and 5 will come back. I think to address its problem its that it need to hit the field from the border. Being deployed from the medic building adds to its spammability. The closer its to the front adds to the frustration. In opposition to a pack howi. You kill one and the player has to drag another one from across the map. |
In all honesty I would give both Scott and pack howitzer up for a panzerwarfer in a heartbeat. Both units are good at harvesting the enemy, but panzer will melt blobs. |
Its not like any other tank besides the pz4 and stug have any respect for allies AT guns. Shot bounce like the of there is no tommorow. |
Id say the only good way to making usf starting viable is to give rear echelons some Thompsons. Adjust survivability. Of course raising their price to match sturm. Also adjusting staring MP. This should make us more viable against both OST or OKW. |
Honestly the only thing allies need are reliable AT. At the moment USF and Soviets got no reliable AT. If they don't rush TDs. They are going to lose because AT guns are not reliable against anything above a panther. Now people may argue we'll you need more than one, but then no only did you sacrifice field power by not having enough infantry to deal with been and volk blobs. Which will eventual be your demise |
It's seems cover to cover is very limited in its role. I though of it as a fast advance tactic to attack fortified position. Only problem is that MGs and Bunker out range the sprint circle. They an see you and therefore pinned you assault force and by the time you want to start moving you can't because your a suppressed. And stay suppresed for 10 second and then only have about 7-8 to actually sprint. Seems like it's useless in its current state |
If they could make the Calliope anything like the panzerwarfer. This would be the best commander. The only thing the USF really lack is blob control and displacing fortification. |
In all honesty, the only thing that the allies need is a zeroing artillery equivalent. Seen way to many games where the axis just camp. Not only do they create an inpenetrable defense, but also force allies to go arty. This makes the allies very vurnable to tank rushes. Now a zeroing artillery could finally aid with camping problem axis have and help deal with axis bunker spam. And also have allies concetrate in infantry and armor, rather than arty. |
