Are penals even neccesary? I´ve been doing really good with conscripts, maxims, guards, flame engineers and 85mm mortars.

lol nice POV. The problem is when you have a couple of T34/85 and SU85 and try to push or defend yourself against a couple of Panthers and Panzer 4s. Those tanks are simply better, therefore in almost every situation they will win. You need always to force the situation to your advantage (eg. lead the tanks to a minefield) and that is really hard to achieve, specially against high skilled players.
Or perhaps I should stop producing T34/85s and just spam regular T34s to overwhelm the enemy like 3 T34 for every 1 Panther |
Am I wrong if I say that Brits are the best allied faction for 4v4?
Lategame is all about indirect fire and tanks (at least all the games that I´ve play 4v4 after 30min).
Soviets are a good faction but I consider them better for 1v1 or 2v2, since there will not be a large amount of german tanks.
The big problem I´ve found is axis late game. Axis tanks are extremely hard to counter, specially if they field 4 or 5 panthers. Not even say if they also field a Jadgtiger, Tiger / Tiger Ace / King Tiger or Elefant.
That´s why I´m asking your thoughts about this. Should I learn to play with Brits for 4v4 games? |

I´ve been reading some posts, but all of them are from 2013-2014-2015.
Can anyone tell me wich commanders are viable for 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4 for soviets?
Right now my loadout goes with rifle combined arms, shock and guard motor. What about Lend lease? is still a viable commander? I like the idea of using shermans and dshk, but I never tried it. |
This is a game man and you seriousy lack of creativy. French, italian, partisans... there are many ways of putting them into game with new mechanics, or simply with new "War decisions" (think of them as doctrines or commanders).
Allies could rely on partisans, french or canadian support. Axis with japs, italians, cossacks... I don´t know, there are plenty of ways to make this game more fun and diverse. You will never ever get a WW2 simulator, even COH1 nor COH2 are such a thing.
I would love if they incorporate air and sea units. Just imagine if you could produce Stukas or Spifires, u-boots or whatever other ships.
COH3 definetly should not be the same as COH1 or COH2 because nobody will play it. It must go to a hole new level of strategy and unit production. |
I see people often say that they get tired of same old factions.
I never got bothered with that. Its not like Cod or BF that the game is released every year, so it can get repetitive. There are only two and half (CoH online) games in last 12 years.
Either they go ww2, or not.
If they go ww2, there is lack of choice for factions, i mean, who really wants to play with Italians? What do they have that it will make it interesting? Or japan, they were major player, but unless next coh goes naval, japan is in same problem as Italy, very limited choice to play with, it would get bet boring, really fast.
They need to worry about polish(don't mean on Poland and improving gameplay.
And not adding factions that 2 infantry type, one light tank and two different AC would be 80% of their army
I don´t think there is lack of choice of factions to add:
- Italians
- Afrika Korps (they could be somewhat like OKW but even more movile)
- France
- Japan
- They could even add "the resistance" as a partisan faction that boost "commandos" playstile

Does T4 worth at all?
I was wondering if, for example, Tiger + Stugs or Elefant + Stugs is better than going for panthers. I mean, the cost for teching and developing a Panther is ultra high, not only in resources but time too (tier + building + unit).
Usually allies late game is fullfilled with heavy tanks but Wehrmacht only gets Elefant or Tiger.
The only units I can think of are Panzerwerfer or Sturmpanzer to counter blobs, but we have options like stukas strikes, MGs and artillery to counter that.
Can you tell me how do you usually tier-develop OST for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4? |

I heard the best ones have recon flight: fortified, joint, spearhead and blitz.
I also want to prove the mobile defense one, it seems the pumas call in could be a great great unit since can counter mediums and go stright for panthers and some stugs. |
Are you not concerned about Panther nerf? More HP doesn´t compensate the fact that will have Less armor + more expensive.
Am I the only one who thinks Wehrmacht lacks of a non doctrinal trully TD?
The Panther it´s a joke right now. Tiger comes too late and it´s a shitty unit (ultra slow and not that good armor). Furthermore, the only available TD option (Stug) wil be also nerfed.
If this continues this way, they are encouraging panzergren blobs (smoke + accuracy + cheap schrecks). |
