You may prefer them to Volks, but if you play a competent player with that unit composition you’ll get crushed by in the mid game or late game if you even survive that long. Of course, against a noob it could work. Lol +1 Basically the problems with spamming sturms. You might be able to get away with it now depending on your level but youre gonna get mauled by more cost efficient infantry and light vehicles in the mid game later on. Keep in mind that along with the OST sniper the player always has access to a MG and always has access to a snare (well... Like they have to build grens but... Like it's there...) OST sniper is better and naturally accessed and supported. Soviet sniper is a bigger risk than before but also a MUCH bigger reward. Double sniper will still force retreat and mortars aren't going to help much only thing is now when that second model drops a 3rd might follow if you don't slam retreat quick enough. The ost sniper still has a higher fire rate right? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: How to stop 222 Ostruppen/Pgen timing20 May 2018, 18:14 PM If they don’t have grens to panzerfaust you can abuse the shit out of the uc. You can even use t to safely flank mgs and deposit an infantry section behind them. In the mid game keep abusing the fact that he has no snare. AEC is a good counter to 222s especially if he can’t snare it and infantry sections backed by mgs will beat pgrens most of the time. I like to throw a sniper and commandos into the mix too and those would work pretty well against this strat. Sniper can even engine damage 222s with his ability, which is pretty nice. Commandos will wipe mgs really easily with grenades and can beat pgrens pretty soundly as long as you get the ambush bonus and don’t have to close with them. In: UKF Strategies

Defensive stormtroopers are still really powerful though, especially with their stgs combined with tactical assault. If anything I take issue with how expensive the stg upgrade is. IMO it should be like 75-80 instead of 100. In: COH2 Balance

Sometimes I’ll steal mortars and then just plop them somewhere and forget about them for a while and come back and they’ll be vet2 lol. In: COH2 Balance
