Why do they miss so much with their shreks shots?
It´s actually emberrasing when you have two squads with shreks and they fire at a aec and 3 shreks miss.

Pack howitser hit my mg42 and now it has 10% hp so i have to retreat it.Then comes the might usf blob and my 3x 4man grens get steamrolled.

And btw i made this thread only cause it´s boring seeing ostheer play the same commander over and over in tournements |
I´ve been thinking over it. And it really isn´t a problem with grens.
It´s the reliance on mg42 to suppress that is the problem.
I mostly play 2v2, cause 3v3 and 4v4 is very stressful when your not premade.
Maps like poltawa is just hurrendous to play as ostheer. So many shot blockers everywhere. Also ostheer has no elite close infantry like rangers,shocktroops,commandoes, they eat panzer grenadiers for breakfast. So when your mg42 is smoked and their close infantry runs in, you have to retreat your whole army.
Also relying on your mg42 to suppres means your opened up for arty fest. Which every ally knows and will pick a commander that counters like 120mortar, usf mortar halftrack, british mortar pit.
On maps like rails and metals, it´s cake to eat playing ostheer.
But you know i only got 4 vetoes and ostheer needs 6-7 vetoes.
Maybe i should shut my pie hole and go see what other factions play like. |

If it´s 4v4 and fuel drop is close to your base you can play the 10min king tiger game.
You pick a commander that drops fuel to your okw partner until he has a 10 min king tiger
Also their the is the crazy mg combo
You pick ostheer ostruppen and drops mg and pack for your okw partner which equips then with falls. Pretty funny to see a mg suppres and murder infantry. |
Due to the popularity of German infantry doctrine, shows us that grens are too weak to use without 5 man upgrade and it´s benefits.
I suggest following
Mg42 close dps when upgraded buffed and long range nerfed
Squad hitpoints when upgraded with mg42 increased. |
Infantry sections are too strong, which often leads to blobbing.
So here are my suggestions.
Infantry sections dps nerfed when not in cover, cover dps remains unchanged.
Vickers mg rate of fire increased, so it can suppress better.

3-4 conscripts simply dominate early game too much for their low cost and utility.
And Conscripts are too efficient at trading early game. They also have too much customize ability and utility to just be a 240 manpower squad.
So i suggest.
Increase to 250 manpower and reinforcement cost increase which gets removed at t4 just like Ostheer. |
Maybe, maybe. You shouldn´t be able to give your fellow teamplayer svts to his conscript through the new commander.
It feels kinda dumb, that you can go any commander while having all your conscripts with svts at 0 cp?
