To be completely fair this applies to Teller mines too.
It's true that saving a completely immobilized vehicle is almost impossible if you don't have repairers nearby right as it hits the mine since it can't even limp away (ironically, it's easy as USF as long as the vehicle crew is Vet 1).
However most of the time mines are put down to cover flanks so generally when you hit a mine you're in kind of deep anyhow, often limping away won't actually change anything as AT comes rushing in.
I've never really had much of a gripe of hitting a normal mine vs. a riegel/m5 but maybe I haven't been playing long enough/against good enough players.
If you read my first post i said that tellers need to go too and thats true, mines are meant to prevent flanks, and normal mines like the soviet, ukf and okw do, they dont need to destroy the vehicle in 1 hit or inmobilize. In 1v1 you rarely see riegels due the commanders that have the riegel are not useful in 1v1, maybe in teamgames where you can see the Elephant commander that has the spotting scopes and the stuka dive bomb but you rarely see the use of riegels also because the halftrack is not a highly uses unit, but in 1v1 is really common to lose your AEC, Stuart, m20, AA Halftrack, t70 to a teller or your 222, luchs to a m6 mine.
And it is a m6 mine, you can check on the game or in the coh2 stats page http://www.stat.coh2.hu/weapon.php?filename=m20_m6_mine_mp |
I don't get how that is wrong. Those mines are specifically designed for AV work. The immobilization mines also either cost more with limited planters (M20 Mines) or deal less damage (Riegals).
Because they are no brainer mines, you just click on the floor and kaboom, goodbye any light vehicle and gl saving a inmovilized vehicle, gg ez, i tought we agreed that all the one shot kill abilities must go from the game |
Regardless of balance, do you actually believe / agree with what he is saying?
Reading his post seems like a grass is greener situation.
No, this is a game, i want to have fun, go watch a documentary if you want realism |
People still using airborne these days? lulz hat off to them |
4 pumas? Top 1000 sounds interesting Kappa |
Well, that's partially because Western Front factions are literally from another game.
Eastern Front factions can't compete with Western Front factions. They don't belong in the same game.
However, veterancy isn't an argument. Volksgrenadiers can't do anything at low veterancy at all against anyone who is aggressively pushing. They deal no damage.
Meanwhile, EVERY USF unit runs into enemy fire without taking damage, gets into the same cover as the enemy, and wins the engagement. Every single one.
Regardless, the point is that it should never be possible, for any units, of any faction.
Of course, Relic couldn't care less. They're of the opinion that their game is a golden egg, flawless and precious in every way.
Oh, you dont need volks to beat usf, you can use the bullet proof double kubel strat and the godpioneers until you get enough fuel to get the luchs and rape everything
But yeah, balance in this game is shit and relic gives a shit so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
Like theodosis said, double ostheer is a painful journey to experience in 2v2, 1 ostheer and 1 okw should be fun, obviously you will struggle more than your mate but it wont be impossible to play. It is not as easy as OKW but still playable.
In 1v1 no, all allied factions shit on ostheer, specially usf due to the dynamic play and the ostheer team weapon play. But you could play okw, that is what cool kids do these days Just dont cry when you get lend leased |
What do you mean? On small maps like kholodny ferma, faymonville aproach you always go battlegroup into schwere vs brits because of the leigs and the fhq but you almost dont see anything than soviets and lend lease these days because playing brits or usf vs the okw tryhard brigade its a suicide mission |
So you're discounting the points he made by claiming they were "emotional"...?
It really is absolutely absurd that Allied units don't need cover, ever.
USF troops run directly into enemy fire through open fields and take no damage whatsoever, then retreat with 1-2 models and never get wiped by anything the Axis factions have.
Same with most other Allied infantry.
It should NEVER be possible to simply move ANY faction's infantry through open ground under enemy fire safely, yet that's exactly how the USF, UKF, and to a much lesser degree Soviets work.
Try that with Axis units, and they die off HALF way to the enemy in green cover.
Reverse the tables, and the Allied infantry runs directly into enemy fire, gets into the SAME cover as Axis infantry has been sitting in all that time, and wins the engagement.
It's ABSURD, and it has absolutely nothing to do with emotions, wins/losses, or anything else.
It's an objective fact. You can lab it easily if you're somehow so inexperienced with the game that you've never seen this happen.
Same aply for the sturmpioneers, you can literally stay into green cover and see them running to you without droping a model . And obersoldaten of course that run into the front of a mg and they kill the mg before getting supressed . That also applies to vet gren lmg blobs and vet 5 volks

You dont have to play it if you dont like it, you can play other games |
