With little expectations I reinstalled the game and somehow it solved my problem, I don't have lags anymore.
If someone encounters the same problem this might be useful (though I don't know why it has worked out). |
Hi !
Since today I experience a very annoying lag on all the games I play online. My connection is absolutly fine and nothing changed, optical fiber still granting me a very good connection.
The game is quite unplayable for me now, I have an average 2-second delay on every command which makes me feel like I'm swimming into mud when playing.
Is anyone experiencing this too ? Any fix ?
Thanks. |
Yes I forgot about this one, but basically without this ability enabled the DPS is the same between stormtroopers and pgrens (or nearly the same, I don't know the stats).
But you can't pop them up and wipe squads or tanks rapidly like you would do with the partisans since the STG44 or panzerschreck upgrade takes time. Their pop up ability is good to flank some team weapons or to take an advantage in combat but that's it.
I find it very expensive to have to pay an extra 90 munitions to have periodycally-on-steroids panzergrenadiers, not mentionning the fact that you have to pick a quite useless doctrine. I don't say stormtroopers aren't good, but they aren't cost effective.
Honestly this doc is really weaker than the others, like I said apart from stormtroopers it does not offer anything special and useful. For instance, a doc like blitzkrieg is far better in every way : G43s, Tiger, close air support, sprint ... I don't see any situation where Enriclement doctrine would be the best choice.
EDIT : the post aboved said it, the cost of munitions is also very high. The ability is so specific and hard to use ... If your opponent is not too slow to react, he won't lose anything except team weapons since it takes some time for the hotwitzer/rocket barrages and air strikes to begin. |
Seriously this doctrine is quite useless, especially in 1v1.
The 'close the pocket' ability is quite strong but only useful on certain big maps whose design allows you to cut off an important ennemy sector from its HQ. In 1v1 and 2v2 there are nearly no such maps.
In addition, if your opponent is not completly stupid and do not takes hours to react, in order to use this ability you have to commit a lot by sending infantry or even tanks far into the ennemy territory in order to cut off the ennemy sector (and exposing you to flanking/mines).
Stormtrooper are quite fancy because they can pop up from ambient buildings, but are expensive and need a lot of munitions to match panzergrenadier's antiinfantry or antitank DPS (which are a T2 unit ...).
The sprint is cool, but you also have it for example in the Blitzkrieg doctrine which is I think way more stronger.
Most of the time people who use this doctrine (and even very good players) end up by just using some stormtroopers whose role would have also been perfetly fit by panzergrenadiers.
This doctrine gives you nothing very useful in late-game : no hotwitzer, no Tiger, no Elefant ...

Honestly this is not an issue. Most of the time, you can see the grenadier kneeling to fire the grenade and react before. It's a bit harder than the other grenades because it can be thrown from a longer range and it has not timer which forces you to be more aware, but it's nothing you can't dodge. Also it deals less damage than the other grenades.
Furthermore this ability is expensive for the werh player and significantly delays his LGMs for his grenadiers, especially if he spams it. For example, if he uses it just a couple of time early game he has at least a 2 minute delay on one LMG which is very annoying.
My skill is average and I mostly play allies, so if I can deal with it you should be able to do so. |
I think this unit needs at least an accuracy buff, because it barely hits anything ... Which it quite annoying for a fragile T4 anti-infantry unit. |
As I said, I think the AEC itself shouldn't be nerfed, but its price should be increased.
British early game is tough and can hardly be agressive, so that faction needs a vehicule to compensate that. But it really need to come at the Stuart ot T70 timer, or maybe a little earlier, but definitely not at the 5 minutes mark.
I agree that OKW can deal with the AEC, but Ostheer can only do the same by rushing the T2 which reduces a lot its field presence, which is already quite weak.
When I play Ostheer in 2v2, AECs are a real pain. Me or my ally are forced to rush AT asap (and when I play with randoms, it is not very simple to agree on a common strategy).
Also, even if I don't play 1v1 very often, the AEC is a wider pain in this mode. The Ostheer player cannot make a single mistake within AEC's efficiency time window or it's a defeat, while the British player can.
It is obvious that the AEC should be nerfed, or something buffed in Ostheer's armory to deal with it with more ease. |
Why not just get a panzergren and get double shreks? Aecs don't have much health. It takes a total of 95 gas to get one and that slows the medium tank by a large factor... I honestly don't think AEC is outrageous. and there are plenty of ways to counter... like an AT gun.
Panzergrenadiers with schreks are quite good against the AEC, but arrive after the pak and cost 120 munitions. To be used as a counter to the AEC they must be rushed, so it means that the Ostheer player will have no LMGs on his grens, which make the fight against tommies really hard ... |
I thought 222s were only 15 fuel? Saying that two is risky when you can buy four for about the same fuel cost is either a mistake or dishonest...
Losing 222s in way easier that loosing AECS. A 222 is squishy and vulnerable to light weapons. |
Hi,
I know there are some topics about the AEC, but I would like to hear what you guys think about a price increase.
Since the AEC was buffed, a lot of people agree to admit that it is too strong at the time it comes.
This vehicle had to be buffed, since it was really too weak before against infantry. But now, it is way too powerful for the time mark it arrives. If rushed, it can be fielded at 6 minutes or even earlier: at this moment of the game, it is extremely powerful against everything Axis can field and requires a lot of micro from the opponents to be countered.
OKW can deal with it because it has T0 puppens and shrecks even if it still tough to do so. But Ostheer is pretty helpless and has to rush T2 in order to field a Pak43 or panzerschrecks ASAP unless it’s almost a GG.
The Ostheer player has to put tellers and hopes that the AEC will drive nearby, stop any offensive play with infantry to avoid it being wiped when it retreats, and micro well to handle the AEC. The double 222 is not a viable counter since it requires a lot of micro and a very good engagement to work, and is almost an all-in. In all cases the Ostheer player has to blindly adapt its whole strategy just to counter the AEC, because if he doesn't and the AEC is fielded it's GG.
The Puma, which counters it at long range, arrives way later for both OKW and Wehrmacht. It costs 125 for OKW and forces to set up a mechanized truck instead of a medic truck which is a risky tech order in early game, and is locked at 5CP for the Werhmacht which is way too late.
So, considering its strength, I don’t get why the AEC's teching and price are so cheap. At the moment, UKF just has to tech for T2 (30 fuel), unlock the upgrade (15 fuel) and build it (50 fuel). The sum is 95 fuel to field an AEC.
The T70 and the Stuart, which are in overall as good at the AEC, come later in the game: 145 fuel for the former, and 130 fuel for the latter.
The AEC should have its fuel price aligned with the T70 and the Stuart ones, so it should be increased to 70. It would still come earlier than these two vehicles, but would be delayed a bit and would be a harder loss to sustain if destroyed.
The AEC makes up for the poor UKF early game, but at the moment it comes earlier than other allied light tanks, and is more powerful and cheaper than them. It needs to be more expensive.
Thanx for reading.
