I was really hurting for suppression in one game though, we got beat by blobs. Is isu worth building? It would fit a guards heavy strategy, since guards are pretty static and long range as well (they get 2 mosins firing on the move lol). I think the ISU works well because, yes as you said its long-range and it forces the other player to be aggressive, which works with guards defensiveness. It also works well (in theory) because in order to take the ISU out they have to dive, which is where the guards can plink away at their tanks and slow them down etc. That combo alone wont stop a good dive however. ISU could also be good because this is a very manpower heavy strat and you might not be able to afford to spam t-34's. Try experimenting with the Quad half-track behind guards/your line to stop too much blobbing. Also Elephant can counter the ISU pretty easily and your guards wont be too effective vs that... Thread: Mg bug1 Jun 2017, 13:20 PM I may well be entirely wrong but i think it has something to do with the way unit models work in Coh2. With the mg trying to be placed in one stop and getting 'pushed' or 'stuck' and then facing another way when the unit actually begins set up. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Langreskaya: Bad map for Osttruppen?1 Jun 2017, 12:31 PM That map is great for Osttruppen, its open so you can take long-range fights and there are buildings in strategic locations. Its also a good map for Brits however. I think you were probably just doing it wrong or as you said, too drunk to play. Try again when you haven't been drinking. Probably not a great idea to post a replay when you yourself say (to paraphrase) 'I wasn't playing even close to my best'. After that you need something else to take on the role of hard AI like a t-70 or call-in infantry. Soviets are actually doing really well in terms of winning, however that might be just that call-in Shermans are OP AF. In: Red Army Strategies

Thus some change would have to be brought to some arty piece with a ridiculous small arc such as the Pak howi. I personally like the change to auto attack idea, if i had to change auto attack. Thread: Crazy idea: Remove auto barrages from all artillery1 Jun 2017, 09:00 AM I kinda like the idea, but with the responsiveness of mortars so crap i think it would make them useless as they would never be able to fire soon enough to do anything but push a stubborn unit out of a building. MMAAAAYYYBE give them an arch like an MG where they would auto fire at (they have to pick up and set down to fire in a substantially different direction anyway). OOORRRR make the auto attack have less range and manual have really high range. I would personally be happy for mortars to have greater range provided they didnt wipe stuff and needed a little micro. I've been going 2 engineers, 1 cos squad, 1 sniper, and 2-3 guards with guard motor for the 120mm, into rushed t34/76s and later 85s. It's wayyy more fun than penals/lend lease. I went clown car in one match as well and it worked well until it got raketen'd. Yeah man, it can work! I still this it need refinement tho. I dont know if i could work a few team weapons in... Thing is the maxim is crap and going for it would delay the T-70. Maybe it would be worth for the AT gun and then going for a ISU, but that would mean really static play. Going for all the tech could work as you would get a really versatile force, sniper, guards, mortar, maxim AT gun, T-70 then ISU. Or some infantry rushes on fuel when he is okw and he faces maxim spam,he get wiped and blame me for not making more mg(cause i made 2 mortars) and so on. People also with low levels don't have enough experience vs some other meta and that's another part But being able to blame your team mates is what makes team games so accessible and popular!
