The different infantry doctrine would be interesting, however, defensive doctrine, as of now, is pretty good. As for Recon Company, I pretend I don't have because, for me, it's useless. |
Personally, I would like Volks to be a bit more like the Volks in COH1. They were weak, yes, but also pretty damn good at defending. Since an OKW player has to rely on Volks and the such early game, why not allow them to build not just sandbags, but also barb wire? And perhaps could even help build certain defenses, such tank traps? Oh, and they sound pretty damn cool. Volks sound OP, and are therefore OP. |
Hello comrades. I've been using mines and demo charges a lot to lay traps by dropped weapons, such as PIATs, and unmanned weapons, such as Maxims. Since I usually have better stuff than the enemy, should I either take the weapons and retreat or mine the weapons and such and keep turning them into traps? |
Clarification: By exp., I don't mean unit vet exp. I mean the exp. you use to rank up.
Ex.
Wins match: goes from rank 23 to 25 and gets some warspoils. |
Up until this moment, I have only have used panzerfausts for one use: Damaging tanks and the like. However, while watching replays from late-2014, I heard something about panzerfausting a fighting position?
So if I could panzerfaust fighting positions, that makes Fallschrimjagers (Favorite unit in COH2) have more uses than
- Flanking MGs and mortars
- Occupying key structures
- Trolling retreating units
- Mowing down infantry at closing quarters
And another question, does killing determine how much exp. one gets? Or is it the length of the game that determined how much exp. I can get from winning a match?
So I ask you, can panzerfausts be used against occupied ambient buildings, and fighting positions? And how does exp. gaining work? |
For anti-mortar and HMG, if we are talking about all Allies, deploy Partisans to outflank and destroy. If you are fighting large volk/grenadier groups, get some Maxims/Vickers/Browning (Only get browning if possible). I typically counter blobs of volks with riflemen in heavy cover, plus fighting positions. But never, EVER, get the American AT. It's like the M46 for the Russians. Only good in large amounts and in the flank vs light/medium tanks. |
I have a ton of infantry bulletins. Reload speed reduce, accuracy, etc. I have 2 for increasing MG accuracy, while I have 2-3 that increase rate of fire and accuracy of riflemen/volks.
So I ask, what is the ideal bulletin layout? |

True... However, what if one was to do this as the Brits? Dig in to a set position and place mines everywhere? It was effective on COH1, but I haven't really tried it on COH2 |
