No, it's not. Paying 60 munis for visible mines that can be cleared by vehicle just for area denial doesn't seem worth to me. S-mines should bleed and ultimately wipe if player is not careful. |
The optimal solution in my opinion would be that exactly one entity is killed (hard coded) and in addition the squad receives a substancial suppression amount for going prone while being shocked and confused for a certain time.
So you suggest that mines would kill only one model? This will make them utterly useless. I think it should be vice versa: if a squad has all models and it hits a mine instead of wiping (if wipe would have happened) 1 model takes 70 dmg instead of dying (though it may die anyway). If a squad with some dropped models hits a mine is it would work normally. With this thing mines will be just as strong except they won't wipe squads with full hp. Obviously this shouldn't work on snipers. |
especially with Command tank, that bonus is OP as hell.
I wouldn't say it is OP, the british command vehicle aura with +35% accuracy, - 30% reload, -30% cooldown, - 30% received accuracy is a real beast compared to this one. |

Well, I guess it depends on who starts the engagement. If t70 starts than he most likely kill unsupported puma. With su-76 though unless it is seriously flanked and cannot shoot it is really easy to kill puma. Just roll backwards and shoot it a bunch. |
People says PUMA isn't great while it is, PUMA counter everything on wheels and tracks except Super Heavy tanks and thanks to the next patch, PUMA will also counter the Heaviest tanks!
I don't know, man. Before I switched to wehr from sovs I killed pumas with t70s or su76s. They are not really that good.
Don't forget the rest of Mobile Defense are also pretty good (maybe not counter attack which is meh): smoke for vehicles, Osttruppen for screening and OP command P4, Puma is not the sole selling point of the commander.
Really though the only good thing is smoke. Osttruppen are only okay when you screwed up really bad and lost most of your infantry. Command tank kinda sucks even vs infantry since it has the same splash as normal p4 but the damage is twice as low, plus it doesn't have pintle mg. Getting it only for aura doesn't seem too great of an idea. |
M10 costs about the same as Puma but it is infinitely better. Puma is only half-decent only when it called in the desperate situation and can only deal vs some light vehicles. On the other hand M10 is overall great and can 1v1 panzer 4. Not to mention it also can crush and like almost any usf vehicle has crew and 75% moving accuracy. |
Rapid concription is actually pretty good. Before I switched to ost I always played with conscript support tactics. Cons with ppshs and hit the dirt can 1v1 sturmpios and probably pgrens too. They even have a decent chance vs falls. And there are a LOT of them. |

Soviet AT has almost the same penetration than pak40 (200/190/180 vs 210/200/190). It is better than Stug's (200.0/185.0/170.0) though compared to Jackson (240.0/220.0/200.0) it kinda sucks.

I thought it got an insane vet3 buff of accuracy and received accuracy recently. It also beats grens in mid to close range.

If you mean non-doctrinal infantry based AT than I must agree, but do you really need it? Sovs are designed to have more armor than the opponent and thus you don't really need a lot of non-vehicle AT.

But it's not how weapons work in coh2. Same weapon can deal different dps that depends on the squad. For example both rear echelons and rangers have m1 carbine but their dps is very different. |
