You have no idea what Lynx did behind the scenes to help this site and both coh1 and coh2. You are speaking from total ignorance and are creating some absurd "debate" about whether Lynx was a good CM with the people who have actually worked with all the CMs since Buggo (the staff/owners of this site) and the start of COH. He is an excellent CM, he was more approachable than any other CM we've ever had. He's available on weekends, he posts SNF updates on Sundays, he's taken and organized way more feedback on coh2 from the right people than you will ever know about, and he really cares about the game, his job, and the community
I am Major Bloodnok and I approve this post. (Even though ntd can sometimes lose it on multiplayer - but it does not make him a bad person)
I always thought that Rudy (Ruth) from the hit series Gavin and Stacey was a pure product of artistic licence, ......until I saw Hans' sister in action!
RL:
If the OP had read Quinn's post on the Official Forums, he would have seen that the Nihonese process of inculcation into the Sega group appears to have commenced.
My understanding is that albeit Nihonese business attitudes to acquisitions has started to be more accepting, nevertheless there is still a certain amount of reservation towards M & A, which can mean that traditional cultural attitudes such as not boasting can come into play. e.g. there has been only one announcement so far by SEGA about the acquisition itself. (Traditionsally, Nihonese business regarded the natural growth of its own companies as preferable and paramount). Of one thing however, I am reasonably certain: it is highly unlikely in this context that SEGA would intend to break up the Relic studio.
It also means, I suspect, that SEGA will probably be cautious about an early release of a game which might have been rushed prematurely by THQ. Saving face militates against this.
As, however, the appointment of a community manager seems imminent, doubtless news may filter through shortly.
That's like asking "how long does it take to redecorate a house once you've decided you don't like how it looks" or "how long is a piece of rope?" There are no answers to these kinds of questions because they are different in every situation.
You will likely discover that CrabFries -(an unfortunate nomenclature, to put it at its highest)- is an undergraduate in philosophy....just sayin'......
I wouldn't be surprised if Sega grabs the game and says: Guys, this is great, but we can do more. Here's more money, push back the release date, make it awesome.
Then the CoH2.org community would go up in flames screaming "WHY!?" and Sega would please us saying: All CoH2 pre-orders will include exclusive access to the Rome 2 Beta, and an exclusive unit. Then we all go "Awwwwwwwww yeeeeh!"
And then Sega will go: "Playa wantz observer mode, replay toolz, modding tools? Playa get observer mode, replay toolz and modding tools."
And we all go like: "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"
...and then I woke up.
I like this. Nice observation from a man rooted in reality!
