Ok, so in my mind, the most variety is achieved when you sometimes have players getting just bars, sometimes just zooks, sometimes both, sometimes none, and this is what you don't see with the current bundled upgrade. Does that really make no sense to you? |
What. Making them both available promotes variety and customization. Most high level matches no one techs AT nades until needed and no one techs molotovs.
As for your USF example, that has nothing to do with the way upgrades are unlocked.
Do you ever see people equip zooks and not bars/1919s?
Because I haven't seen it once since the change. i'm not sure how you can argue this increases variety over seperate, well priced upgrades. |
I dislike the idea of bundling upgrades, having them seperate allows for the most customization and variety of play. For example most usf players now get zooks and bars on their squads, instead of seeing some players get bars, some get just zooks etc. You just have to balance each upgrade, for example molos need a buff. |
I think extra vision could be a muni costing unit upgrade, i'd like to see a lot more upgrades and unit customization in this game. |
If you're going t1 anyway 1 or penals are good, but I would never personally go t1 just for penals, as mentioned, their scaling is pretty poor. |
Damn people will complain about anything, even a great ability like this. |
Wehr, I simply find it the most fun to play in team games, lots of fun options and doctrines. |
Getting all or most of your resources back sounds like a terrible idea.
Simple example, USF gets sherman, OKW gets JP4 in response, and after killing the sherman the OKW gets a refund for the JP4 to spend the resources on AI, not only do I find that kind of stupid in itself, but there's also the problem that usually the USF player has to assume the OKW player still has the JP4. |
Not sure why people think it's not intended, it costs 100 muni guys, who would use it if it shared the normal cooldown? |
I do think there should be some bigger 4v4 maps, but the problem is the bigger they are, the less time you spend actually fighting, which isn't fun for most players.
Retreating from the front lines, reinforcing, and getting your troops back to the front line already takes a long time on the bigger maps. |
