Disagree on the restriction
But 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% agree that they're an issue. Nerf build times and increase target size so AT guns can counter them.
If anything I agree on the target size, nothing more infuriating thn 5 shots to hit 1 sand bag once up close.
The issue with saying "use ATG's" is, well, sandbags can be used from the get go, its what 5 mins to rush an at gun and to rush it just for sandbags? come on. |
no
Great input as always
If you can't build sandbags on or "close to" points, then you can't build sandbags on half the map, which is intrusively arbitrary.
Instead, you could shoot the sandbags with an AT gun.
That makes it sound like you cant walk without stepping onto a point, there is a huge amount of space where bags can be built, by not near I'm refering to not being able to literallyput them on the edge of the cap point.

Sandbags are a pain in the arse to assault against, every faction has this issue and the fact they can be built anywhere often leads to frustrating engagements.
Make then unable to be build in or close to points both standard and victory/muni/fuel, sand bags can still be used to defend but are no longer cheese when trying to take points.

Just wait for AE to make a video about how to do it. |
i think it depends on what other voice lines are going on at the moment. You shoudnt count for voice lines to save you from grenades IMO anyways
Of course not but they can help 100% more whne you are microing elsewhere and hear the call, its invaluable.
Game mode? On teamgames is frequent for voicelines to go missing.
1v1's pal.
Its why I wonder what the hierarchy is, for example, if you tech up as UKF but at the same time a point is getting captured, which one is said. Is their a limit to how many voices can be spkoen at the same time etc. |
I also just had it when a tank was entering the field, it didnt announce it, I know this happens with the m10 from the lend lease doctrine almost all the time but I had it with a cromwell. |
Is there a hierarchy for what is most important and heard by us the player? I just had a game where at the bottom of my screen was my squad fighting a volks, I didnt hear the squad shout grenade and I only noticed when I saw the timer.
Am I deaf? Does the game not shout if your squads are on screen (I know they do), is their a bug or as I mentioned is their a hierarchy, so if one squad somewhere else shouts grenade, another one elsewhere wont?
Wah gwon? |
Looks like Soviets are having a bad time if you just look at the numbers and that UKF has a higher skill ceiling than other factions with how it gets "better" the higher the ranks. No wonder I can't use them then!
Glad to see that my most hated maps are at the bottom of the pick list (bar kholodny, no idea why people like that map!) but I am looking forward to seeing the reworked versions of certain maps.
I've said it before and I will say it until I die, place your points in the proper places and the map is 90% on its way to greatness, the rest matters far less. Hence why crossroads is regarded as one of the best and why winter is despised, probably specifically by me but I hate winter, all it does is force the action to the cut offs as they are hard to defend, on the front lines and easy to take. Compare it to default winter and if you want to go for the cut off, you have to get basically to the enemies base and risk losing the squad for doing so, when its no more risky than going for the mid VP, where is the risk?
Here is waht I want to know though.....
Crossroads and langress are #1 and #2 right, I agree I would say they are deffo top 3, but what makes them the top #1 and #2 when I dont get to chose the specific map to play on? I can have sessions where I cycle angoille and arnhem, I didnt specify these maps, I just find them less insulting than the ones I veto, so, I can't quite get my head around why one map can be played more than others. Obviously if both players veto Angoville it wont select that map so that will knock that map down and ones with less vetos will remain at the higher end, but what is making me play angoville 4 times in a row followed by winter twice? |
The selection state of the unit doesn't seem relating to the highlightness of the models in the building. I've watched both AE and HelpingHans' stream and their infantry model seems always being highlighted inside the building, while in my game there are no such highlight whatsoever.
I'm quite paranoid about this just becaused I've read that grenade could do significantly higher damage if the enemy infantry's model is in the AoE range of the grenade, but I could only use this to my advantage if I know where are the infantry models in the building.
You cant control the facing of the squds inside bar MG's so just hop out then hop back in for normal squads, with MG's, just face away from the MG and hope for the best. |
I thought I wasnt making it up but yeah, this is the image I meant |
