I like most of the changes but 7-man needs to be toned down if its available much earlier in my opinion. Otherwise I think Soviets will probably be in a much better state which is good to see. |
Ultimately I like most of these changes, the only things I would tweak is since Battlegroup HQ now saves you 10 fuel I would put the Hetzer and Ostwind back behind Panzer Authorization. It would also be interesting to see what kind of timing Obers would have if they reverted the Panzer HQ and Authorization costs back to 100 mp 60 fuel each but allowed Obers to upgrade the LMG or IR STG's. The current buff is nice but at least in 1v1 Obers probably still come just a bit too late to compete efficiently with vetted allied infantry at least until Vet 2. Volks are weak in the mid to late game so getting Obers out is crucial. |
Honestly the only issue I see is the Hetzer and Ostwind, either make them require Panzer Authorization again or increase the Battlegroup cost by like 10-15 fuel so it delays them a bit since skipping Flak HT allows for a really fast timing that isn't countered unless the opponent goes double AT guns. |
And yet, you think 240mp unit should trade evenly with 270/280mp units, that gap is incomparably larger post upgrades.
You think grens should get a discount without sacrificing anything or paying for it, you even compare it to cons who PAY AND SACRIFICE WEPAON SLOT.
Rest of what you've said is just more of the same in this direction.
There is nothing to argue here, its unrealistic, unreasonable and simply laughable.
They won't trade evenly when they are against squads upgraded with 7-man/Bars and Brens. If the opponent charges across red cover they shouldn't be able to win an engagement manpower wise. They should trade evenly if the Ostheer player takes a better engagement than the Allied player. Why should Grens have a higher reinforce cost than Riflemen and Tommies when they are significantly worse. Keep in mind you have to pay 80 mp to build the Tier 1 as well while Tommies, Rifles, and Cons all are built out of Tier 0. If you read my whole post I said I would rather have them tone down Tommies, Rifles, and 7-man Cons than buff Grens but if you want to put in the least effort buffing Grens would be the way to do it. Honestly they could remove the reinforce cost buff with Tier 4 just make Grens 28 reinforce cost by default so its the same as other mainline squads. If it's such a big fucking deal than literally remove the 2nd weapon slot they have so they are identical to Conscripts. |
I actually had until I hit that part.
Then I have just deleted it.
Katitof himself gave up on replaying to your "balance suggestion".
Let that be some kind of indicator of what level that suggestion is.
And I'm still convinced its a satire and you're trying to troll me now, because I refuse to believe someone would be this biased.
Look at my playercard how am I biased? All you do is post on this forum and you literally don't play the game. I'm obviously talking about 1v1 if you have any intelligence. |
Honestly the biggest problem with Grens for me is that they aren't cost-effective at all until you at least get Vet 3, the LMG upgrade and Tier 4 to reduce their reinforce cost from 30 to 28. I think making there base reinforce cost 28 would at least allow them to trade manpower evenly against Tommies and Rifles in the early game. In the late game, the Tier 4 building would give them a reinforce cost of 26 which seems fair since 7-man Cons have a reinforce cost of 18. Tier 4 could also cost 15 fuel to build again if needed. Tommies and Rifles would be more expensive to reinforce but have access to Weapon Racks and in the case of the Brits the bolster upgrade. 5-man Grens should have their received accuracy bonus removed and also remove free medkits (make the base medkits 10 muni). Otherwise tone Rifles, Tommies, and SVT/7-man Cons down a bit if Grens don't get anything. I would prefer this route because of power creep concerns. Also make the VSL upgrade take up 1 weapon slot so they can't pick up 2 Bar's and become T-1000's. |
See ? that's the issue you are talking about. you tell me to play more the game when clearly i have better knowledge than you about it.
RNG is one thing, being good is another.
How can you have great game knowledge when literally have 1/3 of the games played that I have and all ranks are hidden? I'm not saying LMG Grens need a buff but I am saying they are definitely weaker than 7-man/SVT Cons, Riflemen with Bars, and Tommies with 5-man. I don't want power creep so it would be preferred to tone down overperforming things instead even if it's more work in the long run. But we aren't getting another balance patch so its kind of pointless debating balance anyway. |
Select your unit in game, press q key, click on an area. Your unit will moove there and it will automatically stop to shoot if there is an ennemy.
That's the only thing you got to rememeber with grenadier.
See how much good that will do you against upgraded Tommies and Conscripts behind cover. How about you play the game more instead of talking to me like I am an idiot. LMG Grens don't auto-win every engagement they attack move in. Can't debate people without them taking it personal and throwing insults over a dogshit RNG game. |
Ostensibly Pgrens are supposed to fill the "assault" role for Ostheer. Grens are indeed "meant" to hang back and shoot things from max range as much as possible.
Im not sure the G43 and MG42 need switching, really.
Again in a vacuum this seems good and from a defensive position behind good cover they work well but when it comes to actually being able to take ground back which isn't P-Grens role either they kind of need to be the ones that can push. Almost all other mainline infantry can be used more aggressively than Grens. Again nerf VSL and Ostruppen and all of that broken shit but the main issue is Grens don't work well against USF/UKF currently. Either make Grens better in those matchups or tweak Tommies and Riflemen. I would prefer tweaking Tommies and Rifles but most people like to buff everything. |
And Brits have to pay 150mp and 35f for the global upgrade, whereas any other faction doesn't.
The Brit matchup against the Ostheer meta is already very shitty, so making it even worse seems like a fucking terrible idea. If OKW is too weak to deal with sections (or any other allied mainline) give them some help instead.
Obviously you tone down Ostheer why do people jump to conclusions by one statement? You don't keep buffing things because that is how power creep takes full control. We are in a power creep meta right now and it sucks ass. |
