USF only had the highest win rate in the 1v1 tournament but they are really struggling right now Kappa |
I kind of figured what Asha said would end up being true, they really didn't tone down OKW, Soviets, and USF at all and hardly buffed Ostheer so I would assume the meta is going to be double OKW Grand Offensive versus Soviets + USF. Maybe one of the allied players could play Brits if they prefer them (Asha). Heavies are still too good as well unfortunately so hopefully 1.2 addresses some of the problems that still exist. |
I think if they just tone down the other heavies the KT will become better as a result. It's not an awful unit but it simply is currently overpriced for what it does right now considering you have to tech all the way to get it and it gets hard-countered by a pair of TD's or a pair of AT Guns and a Tank Destroyer. |
The only way I could see 5 man being balanced at all is if it was tied to BP3 or Tier 4 and it would have to be the exact same as the upgrade in German Infantry. Then you would have to replace the Gren upgrade with something in that commander, maybe a 3rd G43 but then increase the muni cost to 60 or so. I feel like the problem with Ostheer is they just don't have a way to stop the bleed from the stronger light vehicles. Grens aren't great but the faction has other problems that are hurting them more. |
If heavies receive multiple nerfs though, I would look to tone down the Jackson/SU-85 maybe. Although you have to take the Panther into account so maybe if the Jackson receives performance nerfs its cost should be reduced again to compensate. Firefly is probably fine in its current state especially with Brits getting multiple other buffs this patch. SU-85 is just so consistent at penetrating with vet that it makes it hard to stop unless you are able to get on top on it, but its range allows it to kite moderately well. |
This could work, maybe nerf anti-infantry performance (AOE or scatter) and add something to all factions final tier that is like the Brits Hammer or Anvil. 200 mp 50 fuel would probably be sufficient enough. Keep all heavies at 11-12 CP or so. Anything higher than 11 CP might be very detrimental to 3's and 4's. Ideally this will delay them in 1's and 2's with resources and map control being the limiter and CP's would be the limiting factor in team games to encourage people to attack each other instead of turtling. Or as Lago said add the 40-50 fuel cost to the heavies and make their price point similar to the King Tiger at about 270-280 fuel. Pershing can go back down to 600 mp as well. Honestly I really think doing any of the bottom 3 options in the heavy poll that Sturmpanther posted could work out as well. |
Here is the thing, By the time you see IS2 in game if your sov opponent is going cons they certainly have both molies and at nades(these 2 are 10 fuel each) well before they have t70. Which if IS2 seems fast now 10 fuel isn't gonna make it come any slower.
That is also why Mobilized Reserves could be an additional tech cost, I feel like the 7-man upgrade in its current state shouldn't be given for free when you go Tier 4. |
You see the problem with full tech requirement would be that IS2 would only be delayed by 10 fuel and the rest would be delayed by 60-70 fuel. Which is not consistent + IS2 is the most power full of all the heavies right now so...... Yeah would not be fair to anyone.
I think the IS-2 and KV-2 should require all-tiers and Molo's and AT Nades to be teched in order to build them. If that isn't enough to delay the timing then worst case maybe you even require the 7-man upgrade but I don't think that would even be needed honestly. |
Yeah, I would say they either need to allow the Puma/Stug E to come earlier or the Stug G to come out maybe 25 fuel or so later than a T-70 especially considering how strong it is currently. Puma should go back to being a call-in like the Stug E but should require Battlephase 2 to be teched before you can call it in, worst case scenario you limit it to 1 at a time like the Valentine tank. Or hell allow it to be built for the HQ like it is currently but require the cheaper BP2 that Lago proposed. This would be if the call-in timing would be too close to the the T-70's build time. Puma should probably come slightly later so the T-70 with decent income will still have a window to deal some damage but I won't be able to bleed you for 5+ minutes like it currently can as Ostheer. Or maybe instead of the Stug G being unlocked in Tier 3 by BP2 it's the Ostwind but that might be too strong, especially against USF/Brits who don't have the SU-76. |
Yeah, unfortunately the heavies poll wants them to stay how they are in the Winter Balance 1.1 Preview and in my opinion they are still going to be too strong against all targets, especially infantry since they have very little scatter and come out 4-5 minutes before they actually should. Wish full tech requirements would have stayed since it would have delayed heavies across the board for all game modes but instead the CP increase is going to do very little in 1's and 2's and really effect heavy timings in 3's and 4's negatively. Somehow though nearly half of the votes in the poll think that heavy performance and cost is completely fine right now and CP's which don't rely on map control and vary in timing more than resources is the better means of balancing them. |
