Really silly idea maybe but what about if anvil and hammer was pickable from tier 1

Same items as when it is purchased normally gamon bombs Churchill comet etc

How ever.....

Hammer gives you access to AEC Armoured car and Mobile versions of the the statics but they are maybe slightly cheaper for some and less effective
Examples being:-

All:-
They do not get a crewed bonus ability
All bar the mortar have long setup/teardown times
They can obviously all be decrewed and swiped

Mortar:-
Single mortar
Same abilities as the mortar pit without the protection
Perhaps to add flavour at Vet 2 it gets a faster firing rate in green cover only

Bofors:-
Does not get a cover bonus
May also get a limited arc (180°)
Not as Accurate
Very Slow moving

17pdr
Gets cover bonus from the front
Slow to rotate
Less Range
Does not get piercing
Very slow moving


Anvil gives you access to Bofors emplacement and current emplacements with some cost changes.

All:-
Increase durability or reduce bracing
Increase the chance of decrew from flame weapons*
While decrewed reduce durability*

*This will allow a quicker decrew so that the emplacement isn't on a baw hair of health so that it gives the UKF a chance to recrew or OKW/OST to steal, how ever while not crewed reduce the durability allowing it to be destroyed by small arms reasonably quickly.

Mortar:-
Re-add different shells again with timed munition cost

Bofors:-
Seems fine at the moment maybe reduce the accuracy a tad more with vet bringing it up to what it is currently

17pdr:-
Allow Permanent Piercing at Vet 1 (it would still need to get to vet 1 for this so you can't just plonk it behind a building from thew start)
Decrease Fuel Cost
Decrease Pop


This would seperate it more into whether you want to be more mobile or defencive and gives a little more to the whole hammer and anvil choice

I think people should give it time its only been a week and new tactics need to be found out.

Too many folk have such a hardon for their ranks and wins v loss that instead of taking a few losses to try different things they instantly hit with the OP Card.

Here's a wee hint play as UKF and see how well they play if you can make so called OP unit A always win you the game and show said replays you might have a point if OP Unit A can't win you the match every-time because some canny sod has worked out how to counter it... then you learn said counter.

I mainly play USF which is probably in most peoples opinions the most gimped faction out there, but when something "OP" on the axis side keeps crunking me I switch to axis and test it myself... usually losing but finding out how to deal with said unit thus making it easier to deal with (only exception is the fecking walking stukka my opinion on that should be area not a predictable line).

Yes we can probably all agree the Bofors needs a tweak be that suppression, damage, rof, accuracy, health or a combination who knows. But how about this go give it a try and see how OP it really is....

Rear Echelon Volley Fire - It's a death sentence for Rear Echelon to use this as even if used within a mixed force a quick focus fire will kill them in such a short space of time thus making it redundant.

Mark Targets Accuracy with OKW and Penetration for Russians or just Penetration for both as it is definitely one of those should be used against heavier tanks but in most cases its popped to deal with mediums, I'd argue Penetration also for OKW as I don't think it's a problem hitting things but some of the heavier Russian tanks they can have trouble against.

USF LMG Upgrade ability - remove ability to be activated when entering combat as its a defence not run forward and kick it off.
