Well I've only been here since April last year and I joined the moderators in October, as I'm sure no one remembers me starting as a lowly referee in September for OCF. I am by no means old guard, just quite active.
So, series ten is pushed back to 2017 because silly Olympics, it will be Moffat's last series as well as Capaldi's. Real shame since he was really starting the become a great doctor, but none of them so far have stayed longer than three series, so I suppose that's fair enough.
CoH 2 was rushed by THQ as they wanted to launch it to stave off bankruptcy, which sadly for them anyway never worked out. Sega took on the project just before release and we can assume basically said "Do what you must but get this game out" which meant they couldn't finalise all the bits and pieces.
As for coding, Relic coding is never good, there's no counter argument it's always bad. They can code better than I can of course, but the number of times changing something can cause something else to break is ridiculous.
This reminds me a lot of watching the Elite mod 3v3 faction wars on Indrid's channel (DoW II caster) where the Space Marines went on an unbeaten streak of defeating five different factions in 15 games (all three games were played even if they won the first two).
People in the youtube comments, people who had never played/started playing the game and had no knowledge of the forums existed kept commenting "SM OP Elite makes them too good need nerfs" and "Nothing can beat SM OP faction WTF Caeltos". All it came down to in the end however, was that the players on the Space Marine team were consistently better/experienced team game players and the unskilled/non-players who had no knowledge of the game or context decided arbitrarily this was OP.
It's about the players often, not the balance. Get more data and experience and people might take it seriously.
TL: DR: Keep mashign search button and tell us when you beat a real team.
You want more realism? Cold tech in automatch and tournaments was bad enough, but how the heck is this going to be ESL worthy if units run out of ammunition?
This game is balance >>>>>>>>>>>> realism, which is the way it was intended. However, that's not to say you can't find a mod for some things like this.
