This community has got so hung up on death crits when there are so much more RNG bullshit that actually decide every game.
How about fixing so models have more space between them when a squad is moving so they don't get wiped by a single tank shell. A fix for flame engineers not to have their flamethrower RNG explode like all the time. Bundle grenades do inconsistent damage for it's cost. Mines still wipes squads too often. Fix the random delay for a MG42 team to actually start firing instead of waiting half a second when you redeploy which allows the enemy to not get supressed and flank the MG.
All these things are more game deciding and frustrating than deathcrits, deathcrits has always been in company of heroes and removing them or reworking them would take a lot of work for little benefit.
I was going to ask, with my very minimal understanding of hangul and mandarin the... symbology? / turns of phrase, almost made sense, but... man...
Taken out of context it might be the most beautiful thing I've read on a forum about computer games.
I also think this is a great barometer for the state of the game. When people who perhaps can't express themselves in a foreign tongue as well as they can in their native language wish to vent or otherwise discuss it with, anyone who'll listen/a broader audience, something is pushing some buttons.
People, you're taking the one public example we have and are analyzing it to death. Examine the broader context of this. The PTRS shouldn't be doing what it's doing atm. This isn't intended.
It's a really tough nut to crack ATM. Above is an hour long game where I tried to adjust. I think I started to get the formula once I started to use Obers. Jaegers were... ineffective for the time that they arrived, and perhaps better use/some bad luck with the KT, and I might've been able to pull it off. I also could've put my schewerer in a much better position. Ostwinds... I'm not sure, they seemed effective?? It was tough to gauge however, since my opponent made good use of a HT as a FHQ.
Kubel
3 Volks
Battle HQ
Volk
Schwerer
LeIG (vet 5 58+ kills O.o)
Luchs (really bad idea*)
2 Jaeger's (the LOS helped the LeIG but, otherwise were unsubstantial)
Panther (miss-used, still useful**)

freestyled into:
Ostwind
MechReg
KT.
Ober***
Ostwind
Kt
Replace Volks as necessary.
* Thought I could micro the luchs, the nuke was pretty hilarious and a good taste of my hubris.
** Often I see a t3 heavy build with an HT to support and T34 to roam, in which the panther can help, also I think it's a pretty vital safety net regardless; so I'm conflicted whether it's a good investment.
***Double LeIG and Obers, despite depleting the fatherland of all it's MP might be the way to go.
Which also illustrates an overall strategic doctrinal shift as outlined by Jesulin above, by utilizing the Leig and trucks in a more defensive fashion --(I think I may've also tried to stretch the line too far (Crossing in the Woods)) -- by playing really compact and defensive I think you should be able to slug it out with them, especially given their lack of late game. It'll take a while for them to leap frog ahead with T4.
Well, let me explain how tank hits work. Tanks have a scatter value, which affects how far away the shot can actually miss. Their accuracy is pretty pathetic, something like 5% , which means that a tank will only directly hit an infantry unit 5% of the time. Yet they end up hitting infantry alot more, since tanks have a large AOE, they end up doing damage to infantry even if the gun "rolled a miss" due to the shot scattering close to the infantry unit.
Same with the PTRS guns, they dont work as small arms in the game, which means that if they miss the crew, the shot will hit something else instead, maybe a piece of cover, a house, another crew member , or sometimes a support weapon.
This also means that the PTRS performs higher than it's DPS stats show, because scattering shots can still hit infantry units sometimes.
mmm ok, i was under the impression they worked like small arms.
so, potentially by adding more squad spacing (an issue bigger than just the ptrs, and I'm sure something people have been clamoring for) or by changing the weapons hit box, may be the way to tone down the amount of gun wrecks?
