The recon run is a huge pain imo, using 50 muni to not even get the area you needed reconnoitered. make it like the recon run in the the recon and mechanized companies, and give these faction something useful, they are already in desperate need of some tweeking.

The problem with that is m20 just superior in like every way. It's literally only viable very early. So not only would they have to cut the fuel, they would need the stats to reflect the cost.
Sure but the versatility of WC51 is there non the less. Making it a standard unit in the HQ will give players a choice. WC51 and delay tech, but have some mobile early presence. It would really fit the USF, but right now it is stuck in a commander that is clearly outshined by other commander options and therefore a rare sight in coh2. |
The real fix would be to make it non-doctrinal - add something usefull to the doctrine. The WC51 is great, but mediocre for a call in unit. The unit would add alot to the USF early game with regard to options. |
Ahhhh emplacements, stupid idea generally, but a pack up and relocate feature would be a good way to fix them. This would only be in regard to the bofors and 17 pounder, the mortar emplacement should just be replaced with a 240mp 3inch mortar squad. This single unit would fix a lot of Brit problems, but I doubt the devs will adhere to this and admit they made a design error with the faction. Just like USF should get the mortar from the AA campaign. |

True but at the cost of alot more squads... 250mp a piece. So in order to have the same effectiveness that they have now you would have to 1/3 more squads to compensate, which means it is actually something that will influence your build and leave you vulnerable to other counters. To get the same snipes that 4 volks give now you'd have to get 6 which is a pretty big investment. It will leave them vulnerable to a lot of the infantry counters. |
Easy and balanced fix to the P-Schreck would be to lower its damage to 80, while still retaining its strong pen. This would make it unable to snipe vehicles and blobing it would be far harder than it is now. |
How Can anyone say that the new OKW are balanced... Shit, look at the win rates. Prior to the december patch the field was beginning to level out, even in 1v1 with a slight favor for the USF. Now all game modes are completely in favor of the OKW, and they wrecking something fierce. Removing the penalty while still retaining very cost effective vehicles, and still having vet5, a non-doc super heavy tank and great infantry firepower is ludacris to say the least. All the extra stuff that OKW got because of their penalty are still retained, generally its original form. This balance change would make even EA cringe. With that being said, I do acknowledge, that the OKW needed some change but what the devs did here, broke the game entirely.

I mean, war is hell. What can you expect?
Katyusha was only good because you could rush a katyusha and wipe Ostheer support teams clinging to life waiting for a Tiger with a fuel, muni, and VP point. Now that it comes later, just like Pwerfer, it makes Katyusha less effective because weapon teams/infantry have more time to get xp to vet up. 
But this is a game, where I get punished for playing combined arms and really being aggressive and sneaky, at same time. Then my combined arms get thrown out of the window by one unit mid/late game, that is really hard to counter. That is really bullshit, especially when dodging and spacing out my units as I should. This should counter the werfer effectively but doesn't, hence the longer flight time. Still it seems a lot of players just wants the game to be a indirect fire game. Guess the USF will be in for a treat when the calliope shows up.
Whether war is hell is not a factor in this equation, this is a balance discussion. If the game has these units where even reacting correctly won't save you from the wipes, then it'll never go to e-sports. |
Werfer doing exactly what it supposed to do. Kat is barely less deadly, but it has bigger range and comes faster.
Don't blob, and don't ignore it firing sound.
That's just the thing I wasn't blobbing and I was responding to the sound, trying to dodge, but at far range it still wiped two vet three squads. Relic specifically states that units that leave you without time to react are not functioning as intended, the werfer leaves little time to react and no room for error, this is exactly the opposite of what relic wants to achieve. Hence the nerf to the Katy, which wasnt't, pre-nerf, as effective as the werfer is now. I do realize that it should punish blobs, but as I wrote, I didn't blob, sure my infantry was fighting side by side, but not clumped up, but significantly spaced to not warrant a double wipe, when actually dodging in right direction(placement of the barrage). I don't think being punished for doing the right thing is fair.

The Panzerwerfer is ridiculously strong at the moment, either it should be brought in line with the Katysha, or the time given to react must be longer. It is the new meta, that the OST rush the werfer, and get tons of support teams/AT guns to counter any tank/infantry rush to take it out, making the game a losing battle for the receiving end.
With regard to actually playing against it, even though I react every time It shoots I can't get my infantry out in time, and then I lose two vet 3 squads out of the three I have, even though they aren't spaced close together. I even start moving when I hear it shoot, still won't get out. I know the werfer was under-performing before it got buffed, but now it is over-performing by a considerable margin. I think it should be toned down a bit, not nerfed into the ground, just toned down( <= read that sentence twice before you scream bloody murder). |
