I dont see a problem with the Stuka but I play 1v1 so dont see it that often. It whipes real good but so do demos. Granted a Demo isnt as mobile and you cant aim them.
But both punish blobbing harder then anything else and I think thats great.
But Obers even at 500MP would be a steal. I think their MP should remain the same or lowered slightly and the LMG32 should be 180 Muni.
That way kills three birds with one stone:
1.) Less Shreks if you want Obers no need to nerf Shreks
2.) No instantly arriving battle turning Obersoldaten Badasses. Like Paras they need to pay for the badassness
3.) Something more for OKW to spend muni on rather then just getting shreks and converting to fuel.
You know how insanely expensive 180 munitions is for OKW right? The unit with out the LMG34 loses to shocks every time despite costing more. If you want to change Obers just make the LMG34 less powerful, or gate it behind a reasonable amount munitions and reduce the price of the squad or just give them a 5th man. |
I'm quite sure that specifically with this in mind there is this little thing they can build from T0.
Also, they get 50% rec acc modifier and 2x 30% acc modifier with vet, they will obliterate any other infantry in slugfest with time while still being cheapest to maintain themselves.
If you opponent is smart your kubel wagon isn't going to do a whole lot about those 4 rifle squads moving in cover up to your line of Volks. Not to mention the fact a single AT nade at less than a few seconds of DPS kills a kubel, it has quite the tight firing arc paired with horrible pathing/turning.
Yes we all know that Volks have nice veteran bonus's, ones they normally only get to enjoy because they are doing damage to expensive tanks with a high damage weapon. Just because a unit have nice veterancy bonus's doesn't justifying it blow ass when paired against any other equal unit that only costs 5 MP more. |
You keep repeating the same thing. It doesn't matter what would happen in real life. In game players can flank, use anti-tank infantry, and have a variety of ways to make up for have weaker tanks. Chi-nu and ho-ri can take on meduim armor just fine.
Your argument only makes sense in a vacuum where there are only tanks and you have to attack from the front. The real game doesn't play like that.
No, but a faction based around almost only infantry is pretty silly when the allies in this game excel at killing infantry due to having excellent indirect fire/blob killers. Not to mention the fact that the Chi-nu couldn't even take on a T34/76 or a Sherman let alone anything bigger.
The Japanese relied extremely heavily on artillery and mines, as well as lots of air support and we know how much everyone loves skill planes. |
Since when did hearing it = 100% avoidance? Also the recharge really isn't that long once you get vet. Its very easy to get lots of kills and do lots of damage with this unit. Its crazy good at wiping stuff even against good players.
103 kills in a game: http://www.coh2.org/file/7276/pro-stuka-ht.jpg
Almost 1000% eff: http://www.coh2.org/file/7279/stuka-ht-1k.jpg
It's extremely hard to vet up if it's only hitting infantry due to it's high fuel cost, the easier way to vet it up is have it shoot at mediums/enemy rocket trucks due to the amount of damage the rockets do to armor, although they have a very low pen chance.
2 screenshot's don't prove a whole lot when the time between the sound/firing and the rockets landing is so long you have more than enough time to move all your infantry, weapons teams included. |
You know that Volks have nowhere near the DPS to kill a rifle squad/multiple rifle squads before they get into close range combat right? It's not that hard to just rush a buttload of cons/rifles or shocks up to someone and thrash them. |
Couldn't have said it better myself
Why, take away the LMG34 and Ober's are pretty mediocre. |
Actual CoH2 player here.
Rifles will beat volks at all ranges, and will win decisively at mid and close.
Cons will be volks at close range, and will lose to volks at long range. Mid range they're dead equal.
If you get lucky with RNG and both squads in green cover volks can beat cons at mid to long range, but that's almost never the case due to how small maps currently are in most game mods. But yeah volks suffer for all the reasons Ostheer suffers early game, allied infantry is really really good. |
If your only strategy for taking out a heavy tank is a bigger heavier tank, then you aren't very good at this game. AT guns, vehicle snares, air support, and heavy defensive emplacements would all play a big role in a japanese faction.
The problem is that of the extremely few mediums they had none could stand up to their allied equivalents. It would be interesting to see a faction balanced only around support/infantry and emplacements, but it would be so easy to counter that I just don't think it would work. B4 anyone? |
Excuse me, but do they not come with the lmg34 for free. The unit itself is not "tame"
My point is that you should just say "make the LMG34 cost something" or "make it doctrinal like the IR StG44" not just "fuck obers". The actual models aren't a game changer alone, as you can see with the fact the ones on the breath-through commander aren't exactly terminators. |
I dont think thats everyones opinion. I think the truck needs to stay durable as it is. So it can get to Point A to B as slow as it goes. But I like the idea if the Area is uncapped it moves REAL SLOW like Engine Damaged Truck Slow. This way if you want to be cute with it you stand a really good chance to lose it. If you are smart and use it to place a building in connected territory as it requires then its not in as much risk.
I hate the idea of ultra fragile Ambulance type units in this game. Its just dumb.
It should be able to move in uncaptured territory fine, as most of the time you will rush the fuel or another critical point with your sturms and have the sWS move into position before back capping to allow it to set up (This assumes you don't use it to push) why add extra hassle when you can just remove it's ability to collide with infantry? |
