It's huge steel can that fires and doing nothing for next XX seconds. When compare to Jackson, Scott or Sherman it does not need any micro. Even if you expose it to AT, it will survive without problems. Most people generally won't just sit and wait for you to fire the main gun at them, so you need to be smart with using it. Sighting for it, shooting through shot blockers, ect. It requires more micro because it's hard to hit things with it, not because it's fragile. What else, exactly is your explanation for it being the least built unit in the game? No. When you defend a sentence that sturmtigers, KTs and others were used in the ardennes so they can be ingame, and then give to understanding that Stugs were very common at that place and time but lol, why to include them, then there is something very wrong, both in Relic HQ and your head I never said StuG's shouldn't be included, but KTs, Sturmtigers, and JT's have more than a place in OKW. Maybe if we got the StuG then players would have more options rather than less. Relic are the ones who said OKW can't have anything between Heavies and Lights, I personally think that's retarded. I mean you can argue that everyone has 50% more than OKW, but then you would be an idiot because Relic themselves had said OKW get's 33% reduced fuel income compared to the other factions. In 2v2 and above, if you have other sources of AT handily available, Sturmtiger is incredible. It's also incredibly fun to use. If it were an Allied unit (not saying that would make sense, I just mean the concept and role of the unit), it would be used all the time. OKW is spoiled and it has access to best of everything, and with Stuka around the corner, you rarely truly feel that a Sturmtiger would be better. But it's good and in my opinion, worth having next to Stuka. Most people don't use the Sturmtiger because it requires micro. In: COH2 Balance

If you have 100 of something and another person have 66, then you have 33% more if you take your 100 as a base. If you have 66 of something and another person have 100, then he have 50% more if you take your 66 as base. In the end 66 is 66 and 100 is 100. Relation of one to another depends purely on the point of view you take when making comparison. There, advanced math course for challenged done, Professor Katitof will grant you a certificate later. Everyone in the game has 100, OKW has 66. Thus we are looking at a point of view comparing 100 to 66. 66 isn't the base, OKW has 33% reduced fuel income from all sources except Luftwaffe supply drops. In: Scrap Yard

Then relic said "fuck it, WUNDERWAFFEN LOLZ" and we ended up with sturmtiger, kingtiger, jagdtiger and obers holding MG34 with heat seeking rounds. Sturmtigers, King Tigers, and Jadgtigers were all used in the Battle of the Bulge, and the StuG WAS going to be in OKW but was later removed. OKW's core being Panthers is actually what you see most in game, KT's and JT's you will never normally see more than 1 of unless your in a 3v3 or 4v4. Sturmtigers are the least built in in the game. What's more, T1/T2 has no meaning for OKW while Lt/Cpt is a huge difference. If USF player goes for Cpt/Mjr then no doubt that Schwerer will be a way faster. You never want to convert muni->fuel in anything smaller than 3's, and T1/T2 is a HUGE difference for OKW, considering your best counters to allied early game are in T2, and if you make a vehicle your teching is more delayed as OKW due to the reduced fuel income. Obviously there a tone of different factors we could go all day on about, but who techs fastest really isn't the point, it's what each unit you can get from each building. OKW needs Obers mid game, bad, especially if your opponent is blobbing, similarly USF needs the Sherman/Scott/Jackson bad. OKW can not give a flying about building anything that cost fuel, thus faster T3 in maaany games If your facing soviets you also have to go T2 and get a vehicle in order to counter scout cars,buildings, ect. OKW need vehicles just as much as any other faction when facing enemy infantry due to Volks blowing ass until they get vet 3. But I digress, this thread is about Ostheer, not OKW. In: COH2 Balance

OKW have fastest teching in game. You can't argue that but I know you will anyway. And no, USF tech isn't as fast. Its faster then sov or Ost, but not as fast as OKW. OKW techs the fastest from t0 to t1 or t2 because the first truck they get is free. USF techs faster to Major (t3) than OKW does from the Mechanized HQ or the BG HQ. If you get a LT first than you can get a major before the OKW opponent gets a Schwer. But if you make a unit then obviously you wont, but if OKW makes a fuel costing unit and you don't you will get there faster. In: COH2 Balance
