Because the HMG typically don't survive their first encounter thanks to the PTRS's alpha damage. Also I don't normally ever play 4v4 :^) In: COH2 Balance |

Performance is tied to cost, so the two are inseparable. The M10 on paper is still eh but it's extremely cheap so it's a amazing unit in practice. On paper all of Ostheer T4 is great, but crap in practice because of the extremely high cost your paying for it. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Add the Panzerbüchse as an upgrade for Oustruppen and I can bet you that there will be a "Panzerbüchse Ultra OP?" thread up faster than warp 9. The ability to instantly kill support weapons is so insanely good. Remove the 25% more incoming accuracy for MG crews, I don't know why we still even have it since WFA has come out. Thread: WHAT ABOUT SU85 ??7 Apr 2015, 18:23 PM
Yeah, but the issue Iv found lately is just getting them that veteran status. More reliable to have the USF player focus on vehicle based AT with the M10 and Jackson while you focus on infantry based AT with guards, ZiS guns, and mark target. Soviet Call in domination doesn't really help all things considered. It would be nice if the SU-85 got a frontal armor buff. (Also because it's been mentioned, why hasn't Relic given us a doctrine with the SU-100 for Soviets or a doc with the Jadgpanther for Axis?). In: COH2 Balance |

The SU-85's high ROF more than makes up for it's lower pen, but it's kind of sad there really isn't any reason to build it if you have a USF team mate who can just give you Jacksons. In: COH2 Balance |

Actually they don't see; the last stream they had. Just because your developing a game doesn't mean you know all the ins and outs of it, a programmer will have about as much knowledge of balance as any random idiot, and a community manager won't be much better unless they try to engage skilled players which they haven't done. The reason why play testing is extremely important is because it's very hard to see the flaws in your own creation, sadly Relic doesn't play test at all. In: COH2 Balance |

A lot of people seem to enjoy ignoring the fact the PTRS's in the Tank Hunters doctrine aren't the only good thing in it. The anti tank bombing run is a shrapnel bomb on steroids, the salvage blows the OKW one out of the water, and the mines have amazing utility. The grenade barrage also does an insane amount of damage as well. Really the big problem is that a super massive horde of PTRS cons + all those other things is fairly uncounterable. I often end up with such an insane amount of fuel while playing with it I feel like it's soviet industry pre-nerf. In: COH2 Balance |

i think the sturmpanzer is a great unit. I think it could use a cost reduction though. This is a self contradicting statement, by any measure almost every unit in the game is great, but most are cost inefficient. In: COH2 Gameplay |

They already arrive late for PTRS. The PTRS in con blob numbers is an effective counter for medium armor, but not heavy tanks. It comes in at a fairly early good CP level. You can almost always pen a PIV or Ostwind even frontally, and the high DPS V tanks means you will burn it down fast and force it to retreat. It only feels eh on guards versus armor because you can't have that many. In: COH2 Balance |
