People were comparing it in this thread, both can be used offensively and defensively with one being more focused on one thing and one on the other. For instance with Panzer smoke on 2 Puma's you can use 1 to get behind enemy lines and flank a tank and then use the other Puma's smoke to get you out safely. This of course is much less effective against players who know how to use attack ground. In: COH2 Balance

Everything in the Soviet Arsenal including the T34/76 saw use into 1944. Not to mention how old a unit is has zero bearing on how good it is because the KV1 is an excellent tank that can easily beat upgunned PIV's and cause Panthers to panic when used in numbers and it's one of the oldest tanks in the entire game. Did this thread pop out of a time portal? I thought every figured out how to negate smoke by now. And the Sherman smoke launchers are supposed to be used to disable enemy fortified positions (including MG's and other nasty stuff) when attacking. In: COH2 Balance

This is a loitering run that targets everything. Not just armor. The fact that it targets stuff other than tanks is actually a bug; one that can often be quite frustrating when it shoots at passing seagulls and maxim squads instead of IS2's and Jacksons. Thread: Jackson spam8 Jun 2015, 11:24 AM They could fix it by just tagging vehicle crews to specific vehicles so when you hop out your still taking up pop cap with the vehicle crew so no building/call in stuff while your tanks are decrewed. This of course would be deemed "effort" and thus pop cap abuse just became a "feature" of USF like OKW getting full fuel/munition income is a feature of Luftwaffe supply crates In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Jackson spam8 Jun 2015, 10:09 AM The big reason why the Jackson is so hit or miss for many people is that if you have good micro there is literally not a single more cost effective tank in this game. If you have bad micro it's literal garbage. USF in general needs much better AT options like the Zook to do better deflection damage or just higher damage in general and the 57mm to have slower ROF with better penetration. So the Jackson can get a rework to. 560 health, with a better ROF but only 160 damage. That way it would preform more consistently. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Maps you really REALLY do not like to play on8 Jun 2015, 10:04 AM Sittard is fun when your with an AT and you get put against some Allied players who are extremely overconfident in their win chances so they just do the normal Priest Pop cap abuse spam + Katyushas then they get slapped down with counterbarrage LefH's and Double Stuka's. Also having a Jadgtiger + Elefant covering the main bridge is really fun, also covering the entire left and right sides of the maps right mines so when they rush 8 T34/85's they all hit Reigals or Tellars. I think it's sad they removed the lines because it made the rear echelon squad a bit more distinct from the riflemen, but on the other hand I can understand why they did it. IIRC the Ostheer announcer was the German colonel from Raiders of the Lost Ark. In: Lobby

Like what OKW just leaves the truck to get plinked to death by one AT gun. Axis over all get more OP as the game length increases. Looking at the game stats, overall wins, and win percentage is proof enough. All the axis lovers who glaze over these OP threads, do tell, why the stronger Axis stats then? A) More people play axis because its OP. B) Few and far between good USF players to give any team games a fighting chance. Every time I play CoH2, I get reminded why I go back to CoH. Know your enemy; the best way to figure out how to win is to play the faction you lose to the most and figure out what gives you the most problems. Playing nothing but USF means you will only know what USF is weak to. In: COH2 Gameplay
