Guards won't be able to snipe models, 120mm is tolerable. That just leaves rushing the 85's which is rather pointless. It still has amazing synergy. Mark target to kill tanks, guards to counter light vehicles, heavy mortars to punish trucks. There really isn't a downside to taking it when facing OKW unless you are a dumb dumb and he stuka's all your troops. It's never been that Guard motor is literally christ incarnate in a doctrine, it's just that it's very straightforward to use. In: COH2 Gameplay

Supported armor in general is more difficult to deal with. But who cares? You should be rewarded for properly supporting your units. IS2's and such are fairly simple to deal with. OKW is weak to massed medium armor because OKW will always have less tanks than the enemy. Add in the synergy Guards Motor was with guards + 120's + mark target + 85's and shit starts looking pretty grim for an OKW player in 1's and 2's There just isn't much counter play available for OKW when your best indirect fire units is locked behind a quite extraordinary cost making pushes against MG walls difficult, and the MG34 got it's teeth ripped out last patch albiet now it can at least do decent blob control with suppression. So far from the Alpha and Balance Patch my verdict is that OKW is in a better place than before, but still lacks the tools it needs to truly function as well as other Ostheer does. In: COH2 Gameplay

OKW can handle unsupported mediums but most good players support their mediums giving OKW a hard time. One thing that would help immensely would be giving the MG34 it's old damage back and just raising the cost. In: COH2 Gameplay

At the arrvival of a T34/85 you already should have prepared with at least 2-3 shreks and 1 or 2 raketen which you will need to not get stomped by T3. I can't see a problem at all. Ost got tellers and paks or early stug. Unsupported mediums maybe, but the new maxim can suppress blobs now and the rackten when suppressed has a very poor ROF. T34/85's on there own are manageable, but when followed up by a horde of guards and support weapons... People really need to get over this "obviously you can beat this when on it's own" idea of thinking. Nobody sends in tanks by themselves unless they are nuts In: COH2 Gameplay

It's too much of an investment, when you might not even hit a thing all game. Before you needed to get to vet 1 to use the precision strike. On smaller maps if you make it outside your base it can be absolutely devastating because you can 1 shot blobs. It gets reduced scatter at Vet 3 which allows it to hit just about as effectively as it did before (accurately that is). Don't forgot about For Mother Russia which buffs all your infantry support weapons included. It's excellent for smashing OKW blobs with shock troops or making your cons move across the battlefield at warp speed with Ooorah! In: COH2 Balance

It's just an RnG canon, even without 2 click counters it's pretty useless. It's actually still quite good on small maps. It's just that literally everyone uses CAS so it's instantly countered. Also, priest need vet 1 for his ability and it is difficult to counter ost howitzer on their base too. The Stuka isn't the easiest thing in the world to vet up even after the changes. But mostly it just decrews weapons and at vet 3 unless your on a small map it won't hit the enemy's base. In: COH2 Balance
