Anyone feel like this tank is a bit lack luster? For one it micro taxes the hell out of you and I feel like the round change timer is way too long to be able to plausibly use it effectively. I do not mind the micro tax but if you consider the micro and timers it takes AND how un reliable and un effective it seems to be. I think the round change timer and micro is ok if the rounds actually did what they were suppose to. Im not a stat guy i know a lot of you are but something seems off with it, it missed all the time, feels buggy when it fires, produces little results when using AI rounds vs AI, AT vs At. Wtf is its place when it is not effective at either, id rather it cost more if it could do BOTH of those things better. It should be able to not like it has amazing armor hp speed or anything really. I mean ive had a few miracle moments with it but ive also had at guns kill snipers so. I mean why cannot it not be a risky tank to charge a panther against if it has the right rounds, right now its not just another pos sherman version that even 2 of them a panther easily bullys both that dosent work because its lack luster in both departments.
They never feel like they're much better than a standard Sherman. They have the same armor and hit points so they die to four shots of just about anything, all for a little more fuel and manpower than the standard Sherman. I'd always rather have one Jackson and one Scott than two of these. I would have much preferred an Easy 8 in the doctrine, even with its inconsistent main gun. |
I didn't read the poll carefully enough and voted the wrong way. PF's are no more worthless than rifles. They trade really well with rifles unless you're trying to use them like Sturmpio's. They're really good with upgrades and vet, especially the G43 upgrade. |
Hey guys need to ask couple of questions about this squad :
1.Wich are the stats for this squad?( weapons,slots for weapons,sight range and range of weapons)
2.Is there any other difference between the pathfinders and I&R?
3.Does the squad affected by weapons? i mean if i man a .30mm MG with pathfinders do they keep their sight as pathfinders or they become a mG teaam with MG stats?do htey keep their stats even if i give them bars or zookss?
4.I play mostly team games and no 1v1 is it better to have a mini blob of 3-4 pathfinders squad or mixed with IS(Infantry squad)?

I use Pathfinders most games. I wouldn't recommend blobbng them. There relatively expensive and their DPS isn't great on their own. I like using them together with a paratrooper squad that is upgraded for long range. I'll often get 60 kills for the combination of one each of those. Pathfinders are also really helpful around MG's or AT guns.
I often don't upgrade Pathfinders. I'm always munition starved when playing recon support and would rather have more mines or Pathfinder arty. I'd probably think differently if the upgrades made a big difference but the upgrades don't turn them into Obers. If I do upgrade them, it is usually with a single BAR.
It used to be that if you recrewed a team weapon with Pathfinders, IS with improved sight, or Panzerfusiliers that the team weapon would keep the increased sight. I'm pretty sure that was patched out for IS but not sure about the other squads. |
I don't mind the ram as it is. It seems like it should be random. It shouldn't guarantee engine damage on the tank that is being rammed. If it did, then anything above a P4 would get rammed which would lead to some frustrating gameplay. |
Honestly, giving away Maxims seems like a proper powerplay. At least there's a chance they'll use them instead of MG42/34s

Had a good game last night. It was a 2v2 long arty fest, to be sure. I would like to take this moment to remember the time an OKW push was met with two calliopes, a sexton, the british base howitzers and a major artillery strike.
Good times. Kudos to them for co-ordinated fire.
Late game with lots of yellow cover they don't seem to matter much. I once had an opponent tell his MG42 to set up on the opposite side of a sandbag from my Maxim. The MG42 traversed the entire field of fire, set up, and killed 2 models of my Maxim before he noticed that his MG was being shot up. He still managed to retreat it and the whole encounter probably didn't cost him any more manpower than it cost me.
I just finished a 2v2 where my teammate decided I was terrible, and kept typing shit in team chat. He even said he was going to leave after YOLO'ing his Cromwell and Firefly into a Stugs, JP4, Panther, PAK40, and Raketen. Somehow, it was my fault he didn't win that engagement AND I'm a retard. He didn't leave and we won, but it was still annoying as shit. I wish replays kept all of the chat until you leave. The end was pretty funny. My illustrious teammate typed in chat how he hates having to carry someone. One of my opponents said "Don't worry, you didn't". |

Not a fan of the penetration nerf since when a Panther appears the su76 becomes redundant. A vet 3 penetration buff would be welcome.
Before the penetration nerf, it was common to see a horde of them. It was kind of comical, especially when they barraged. They were way too cost efficient. |

Ersatz Gruppe commander for OST with Panzerfusiliers, JP4, Railway, Stuka Smoke, and either the pioneer equivalent of Heavy Fortifications or Hull Down.
Some fix for the early game matchup between OKW and USF, without upsetting the other matchups
Possibly a change to Hull Down to make it somewhat similar to what it actually was - meaning the range should stay the same but the target size should go down. It would also be restricted to tanks. |
Yesterday I was someone's Random Teammate story on a 2v2. I should've noticed that my teammate was winning his side on Camping in the Woods a little too easily. I didn't notice the flank until it was way too late and gave the other team two Maxims at about the 4 minute mark. Surprisingly, my teammate didn't say anything and we both kept playing. |
