Thread: AAHT the bane of ostheer20 Dec 2014, 19:27 PM Another game against ostheer where going LT and getting AAHT against ostheer player who i dont think made any big mistakes. he dint over extend, kept on switching the sides wiped 2 of my rifles, but i dont know what it is with US going LT that wins me game vs ostheer most of times. Disagree with all circumstances... yeah Rifles have advantage in first 3-4 mins and the advantage expands to few more mins if he goes LT.. but after that 1 LMG gren 1 Flame pio and a HMG ( add in a tactical Smine) can hold against Rifle blobs (3-4 with LT ) about 7-9 mins into game. your rest of units can concentrate on the other end and cut him off. first few minutes play conservatively and dont over extend let him come to you. Garrisoning critical buildings early can be annoying to US player as they dont have any effective way to flush you out until hey can field a M20 or research grenades. In: Ostheer Strategies

Seems like it could be as fun as Flamer M5 or M3 from Soviets. i liked it post patch the M5s were a bit beefy then, now they go down quickly , their timing isn't good for aggresive use better use it as a forward reinforcement .. if you are good at micro pop those medics out of ambulance and put them in M5 you can now reinforce and heal in neutral/enemy territory after engagements without having to retreat. Withdraw and refit is good as well i go vehicle heavy LT build like get M20 plant mines, Get AAHT harrass him till he fields some AT or tank then use withdraw and refit on AAHT to get back fuel. by then you should already have a major out and you can decide if you want to purchase sherman/jackson. would have been great if the ability gave back some percent of manpower along with fuel right now it only returns fuel. dont purchase M5 as soon as its available would rather get AAHT and get map control advantage then you can always widraw and refit it. Most OKW matches i have watched or played as tend to float MP towards mid or late game compared to US or even ostheer. OKW reinforcement cost on Volks i feel is a bit low increase it a tiny bit. anyways so does having higher fuel cost justify lower MP ?? ( i know you mitigated fuel penalty to arrive at the cost you posted ) In: US Forces Strategies
