Thread: What good is the tiger tank?18 May 2015, 21:22 PM If you build a Tiger use it as anti infantry only. Try bleeding off the opponents infantry. Use Paks to fight off the tanks. It´s ridiculous to have to use the Tiger that way, but it´s the only way that works for me. Honestly it should get a survivability buff at vet2 like it used to. The Tiger has turned into a tin can with 1) Blitz nerf, 2) Health decrease, 3) Armor bonus totally removed at vet2, 4) Jackson buff versus heavy tanks. --> Congratulations, the Tiger has now the survivability of a medium tank. I am at work so can not post games but I will when I get home. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It seems to always be when I am against 2 wehr players. It would help if you told us which tanks that are. I assume you are facing a lot of Tigers. That´s the call in meta. Easily countered by Soviet call in meta. Another possibility is that they have fuel caches/ Opel Blitz resource boost. Or the Luftwaffe fuel drops (though that requires them having a fuel point in the first place). In: COH2 Gameplay

So for two years I was matched too high with Ostheer? This is a very ridiculous statement to justify your favorite faction being superb in every aspect. Magically I perform better with Soviets btw. The problem is the balance. Soviets in 2v2 are hardly beatable. I dare to say on equal skill levels the Soviet players have to fuck up big time to even come close to losing the game. The faction can just bolster up so many failures that would immediately cost you the game as Ostheer. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: 2vs2 Winrates15 May 2015, 23:23 PM Those winrates seem plausible to me. It´s almost impossible to win as Axis this patch in 2v2s. Went down from the top 10 in 2v2 to 50+ last time I checked. Went from about winning three of four games down to winning one in three maybe. I achieved this with Ostheer prepatch btw. before someone spreads this bullcrap about a skill gap of OKW players. Definitely switching to Soviets this patch. It´s cute to see some people here denying the blatant op´ness of the Soviets though. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Why there aren't many passive abilities in COH2?11 May 2015, 20:40 PM I think some of the abilities in the Elite armor doctrine could be passive. Right now it´s too ammo intensive. I´d like to see the HEAT rounds be free like in Coh1. Of course for less effect. Same applies to the tank commander. In: COH2 Gameplay

For example: The 50mm gun was mounted on the Panzer III to make it better versus the T-34. Yet it still struggled with the T-34 from the front. Something similar applies to the 85mm on the T-34 to counter Panthers and Tigers. It just somewhat helped, yet didn´t change the onesided engagements. In game I also feel that the Tiger is somewhat unreliable as a damage sponge. It deals good damage to infantry but has to immediately be pulled off the frontlines since the survivability buffs on vet were deleted and the health was reduced.
