Again I met an OKW player in 1v1 and again he had some kind of spam. This time I started with t1 and getting 2 penal battalions next to my standard combat engineer squad. When I had my second squad up and on the field, he had one sturmpioneer squad and 2 volksgrenadier squads and we had some skirmishes.

Well I followed with another penal battalion squad and attacked and what do you know, one sturmpioneer squads and 3 volksgrenadiers squads. Got beaten back, and my combat engineers had captured 3/4 of the map at this stage. Got an halftrack and a flame penal squad. Drove back up whilst supporting my other penal squad and well.. 2 mgs, 4 volksgrenadier squads, an sturmpioneer squad and one of the volksgrenadiers had shrecks. Boom bye bye truck and gg.

This all happened before the 5 minute mark, like what the actual f*ck... How on earth is this faction even supposed to work in this game? It's just spam this and that and gg.. They can outspam you within the first 5 minutes without effort.. How is this supposed to be fun?

The reason I almost stopped playing 1vs1 as soviets is because of this nonsense. If you don't get spammed in the initial stages, beware the hordes of shreck blobs that come your way.

The only counter to this is an maxim spamm, but playing solely maxim spamm vs OKW is pretty boring and can have you fail as well, depending on the map you are playing

This faction needs some serious tweaks, it's absurd

Learn how to play! u seriously expected to take out his entire army with a scout car and flamethrower? and are wondering how he took out ur scout car with a shreck?!! he needed 90 munition to get that shreck and it takes a few mins to get that, but u were lucky, cause a better OKW play would possibly take out ur scout car earlier than that.

The Jagdtiger has received some well-deserved changes. So what does everyone think? Can I finally archive its card or does it need further teaking?

It doesn't make sense anymore to go for breakthrough and get a Jagdtiger in many games anymore for many reasons.

This this change, Jagdtiger is now just an Elefant with some noticeable differences. It is super slow, and get stunned easily. It is much more expensive than an elefant (note that 290 fuel for OKW means a lot more in comparison with other factions), It's unlocked very late, etc.

Also, with choosing breakthrough you won't get access to many other units or abilities OKW can have with other commanders OKW can have. People choose breakthrough for JT we all know that, otherwise other commanders such as Fortification, Luftwaffe, or Scavenge give you access to better units or abilities.

All in all, I don't see any reason why one would go for JT anymore (well in most cases and maps), and you can use that 290 fuel on something else and get significantly better results.

Shooting through blockers was the biggest thing it had and now it's an absolute rubbish for this price, that's for sure!!!

not to mention it can be destroyed easily on spot by B4.

Considering all these breakthrough doctrine is now totally rubbish and the panzer jager commander of Wehr is way way way way way better. You have a better tank destroyer (elefant) considering the price, and you have stuka bombing and recon to counter B4.

if they build the b4 on edge of their hq sector, im pretty sure you can still call the arty in outside of the hq but make it so the AoE still touches the b4, and the arty will land on the b4 that way. also you really shouldnt double up on stukas, its almost always a better idea to save that fuel for a panther or even kt.

That's true, but with the reduced number of shells of zero in the new update, it's not as reliable anymore and along with the flares it's 360 ammo for OKW for each time u use that, not to mention one have to go special operation and the other fortification (plus they get access to their b4 earlier than you get access to your zero). But with double stuka, I agree that's not always the best choice, but in some cases, like this case he mentioned in this thread (both soviet players having b4s and possibly with more than one b4), double stuka can be a very good investment since you can use stuka not only to wipe out their b4s. plus, having said the soviet player chose counter attack, u know you're not gonna get concerns like ISU, IS2, etc, possibly the other OKW player can invest fuel on panther/KT earlier than you and you can still get your heavy tanks out if the game takes long enough. At least, you know it's now less probable to have your KT/JT/Panther or even HQs wiped out by the b4's nasty shots! Also, using stuka to counter that, doesn't limit you to necessarily choose fortification and special operation(for flares as in many cases it's almost impossible to get a sight on that without a big risk of losing a valuable unit). I see recently lots of soviet players rely a lot on their indirect firepower.

gg, only if aSIIRunToTheSun went fortification, the game would've been much easier for him. I don't think jesulin chose the right commander for this game, either.
