Combination of SU85 (on the right map) with M4C Shermans or T34/85 are somewhat effective enough. What bothers me most is that t he SU85 seems to have an odd accuracy, even against tanks/vehicles. This baby very often misses important shots. I had an occasion in 3v3 where a panther ran into a mine, engine damaged. I've had 3 Su85 ready to fire, each firing 4 shots on a flat engagement area. Two of these 12 shots hit, none of them penetrating. Sure this is an extreme example, but it's often somewhat similar. In: Strategy Desk

Obers would still be a nice lategame unit. 180 is abit too much, 120 sounds better regarding OKW income. Let's rest this Stuka thing, artillery is a necessary tool, and the stuka is a strong one. Thread: Build orders/tactics in 1v110 Feb 2015, 22:48 PM no pro over here - but an unlucky hit with püppchen or the mighty volx-shreck-blob make a quick end to the sherman. I often see my mates in 2v2/3v3 being forced to retreat their sherman (on HE rounds) just by 2 volx+shreck squads. Does not mean that its instand dead, but you have to be very careful and this limits it's effectiveness on the offensive. In: US Forces Strategies

It has the price, the difficulty to use it but although the damage to make it worthy sometimes. +1 on Shrecks being a bit too strong imho. As far as I experienced the range difference between a Shreck and a T70 is negligible. I'd personally prefer nerfing them in one single aspect, for example higher reload time. I don't think this is the case when looking on the AA-HT, it can quickly pin the infantry while moving so the situation allows for other units (other Infantry, Mortar etc) to kill them. This needs some serious micro management, but it's often useful against Shreck-Blobs. Beware of overgeneralization In: COH2 Balance

But it's still pretty unsatisfying seeing three penals with flames losing against three panzergrens with 2 shrecks each... It's totally okay that the Panzerschreck, which was an awesome and well-designed weapon, is performing very well - but it needs some tweaks, doesnt it? Especially on maps like Vaux (really hate that map), where you can push the axis back with ease when done correctly (spammed correctly )? I just feel like you cant choose any commander as Soviets without T34-85, IS-2 or ISU - because no matter how well you play, any non-retarded axis player will screw your lategame. In: Strategy Desk
