It's a contest of who can out cheese the other side harder, and soviet field HQs make me wanna die Terrible vp placement and wasted space, and practically impossible to take the fuel away from the enemy without baseraping them. The middle turns into a meat grinder of emplacement spam, indirect, and arty strikes. The shotblockers everywhere and roads force people to blob the fuck out of everything, including tanks. It has literally every single possible bad design element all on one map. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Squad-ai, Yes or No.8 Aug 2017, 20:40 PM There's times I would want it, and times I wouldn't want it. I think it's only practical if there is some sort of toggle. I don't want to tell my sniper to shoot and have him decide to dive into cover instead. Is it possible to make it so it will only activate if the unit hasn't received in order in say, 10 seconds? Would fix the the silliness of missing a squad and having them stand in the open being mowed down. I see it more as a useful crutch for lack of fine tuned player control, in situations where it isn't needed. The leapfrogging on move orders is a useful and pretty cool feature, that would be completely unreasonable to expect a player to do. Just need to balance it out in a way that doesn't interfere with orders. I would love something like ctrl+click as an order with different movement mechanics. In: COH2 Gameplay

Obers are also great, and the big fuck-all gun is nice for defending the cutoff. Pumas are great, but i'd never build more than one. Double raks cost no fuel, and might actually survive to get their super OP vet. Save the fuel for something more useful in AI. In: COH2 Balance

Way too much overlap in coh2, which just leads to many mediocre doctrines instead of a few core good ones. I would also like to see more passive bonuses, instead of timed abilities and call-ins. Slightly different arty variant #7 is was less interesting than passives like Raid, and Rapid Response, and CoH2 abilities like Encirclement doctrine sprint, and Windustry(though that was poorly implemented). Just go with the ToV way. It's just a more fleshed out version of the vCoH commanders. More than 3 would be nice, but uniqueness is far more important than quantity. If you are using duplicate abilities you are doing it wrong. In: Lobby

And each side has an equal counterpart. In terms of attack helicoptors, light armored vehicles, and main battle tanks. And relic can go in any direction they want. Not historical I think ww2 is at the perfect spot for complexity of tech. I've see him on the currently viewing list right after I've asked this question (I've asked it a couple times now) so I know he's likely seen it. Hoping to get a clear answer from him this time. Relic is busy doing other shit, so they aren't focusing on coh2 right now. When a new patch comes it will still use the same community balance testing (probably). The mod team is preemptively preparing for that. Relic still plans on releasing more patches to finish out the five year plan. It's naive to assume they will go back to the old way, they haven't released a real relic patch in over a year and a half. In: COH2 Gameplay
