The Isu has a long ass reload time which makes swapping targets (armor to inf or vice versa) rather hard to do. Its armor is limited and can be EZ PZ blitzed by p4 or panther for counter. The pen on the gun isn't that great either so don't expect it to really do all that much As it stands the ISU is a fair unit, its expensive, slow as dirt forward and turning, long reload time, can't spot for itself, low armor (in relation to similar tanks in game), and also doesn't squad wipe all that much yet feels like its doing decent damage. I see what OP is saying about OKW having issues removing ISU's as they don't really have a throw away tank or a long range AT gun (unless it gets to vet or you cloak move it forward). Best case to deal with it would be a mixture of a single armor unit and inf push. ISU has to keep switching round and either deals with inf or your tanks. use tank for flank, get one shot of and then snare. Edit: As a side note you can us rektens to cloak attack as they do get 1000 pen out of cloak if you wish. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Whats the point of a 6 man squad if they cant pick up the damn gun? Survivability at this point is a meme as it rests on the idea that the gun can pack up and is a rather unfair claim to say that it should get the same treatment or compensation. Everyone always cites the 6 man squad but the maxim doesn't have the same arc, it doesn't have the same ROF/damage, and its suppression has been a joke in relation to the Mg42 (Which costs cheaper, has a wider fire arc, and is a better suppression platform). Granted it does have a slightly faster pack up time but its really not all that great. The least we can do is have it not get stuck in a "intended" bug or flaw in the game that should have been fixed years ago. In: COH2 Balance |

Bug doing a good job. And the Mg42 isn't? Tbh the unit clumps up a fair amount making it EZPZ to rifle nade. Along with that, if the nade doesn't get it the deathloop surely will if you aren't suppressed. Not to compare apples to oranges but the MG42 can easily suppress and pin 4 squads within its fire arc without the use of sprint or smoke and simply costs less than the maxim as you dont have to build tech building for it. If I do recall the maxim itself is set up more like a kubal than anything which is why it cant teleport like other Mgs.....it makes sense but god damn is it frustrating for a unit that seems more like a meme than a worthwhile investment In: COH2 Balance |

As the title says, the unit to this day gets stuck in a death loop (where the squad keeps going to pick up the weapon but dying before he can get there causing it to get stuck) and it should be addressed. Is there any way we can get this changed? In: COH2 Balance |

I got this bad feeling that after DoW3, relic will only diminish into a shadow of itself and won't be able to produce anything meaningful. My thoughts exactly especially in reference to the most recent TW games (Rome II onwards). My CoH expectations are simply a heightened focus on good multiplayer content. Good maps, balance, depth, and creativity. The commanders have already proved to give us a fair bit of ways to play CoH2 so maybe an expansion on that formula so as custom commanders (as broken as it might be) or a meld of the commander system of Coh1 but maybe an extra commander so 4 instead of 3. As far as community goes, I hope we focus more on being more inclusive (as hard as that can be) with new players and try and calm down on the salt we put into game that really digs the knife in. Report function in multiplayer for cheese such as a teammate killing your base b/c you wont give up is simply something childish and shouldn't be allowed. In multiplayer I would like to see more of a larger aspect, maybe some sort of meta game that gives out weekly or monthly rewards based on who is winning a sort of meta campaign if you will. Clan support would be nice to have with leader boards as well as clan stats. Ways to organize tournaments in game might also be a nice addition with custom rule sets and maybe even map lists. Single-player I know there are those out there who enjoy CoH for its single-player and I'd hope a larger version of Ardenns assault comes with coh 3. Addition of air units, navel, or campaign map weather elements would make the single-player unique. Would also be nice to see the game kind of go in a Attack-Defend game play where each turn the AI will either sit tight and build up strength or you are attacking. Cosmetics While I know we don't like DLC as a community (no one does) it wouldn't be bad to expand the system already in place from CoH 2 with the Relic Bucks. Most stuff should be purchasable with in game currency that can be fairly earned overtime. Possible additions to cosmetics might be simple boxes and bushes/camo you could add to tanks, emblems, or even being able to paint your tanks (not pink ofc) would all add some nice personal look to your units. FinallyFuture way of patching Finally I'd like to address the way Relic as a company address bug fixes and balance patches. While I will credit Relic for keeping into the long tail-end of their product by releasing more patches, I will say it would be nice to have a bug fix patch once a week and then a balance thrown in somewhere in between (much like what Starcraft does). Not only would it help clean up the product but might keep balance issues lower as a result of cleaner house. TLDR: Just make CoH2 But bigger, better, and stronger than ever b4. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Are we sure the CoH IP is under SEGA and not part of Relic? Really the more interesting thing is why is Relic working with Microsoft for AOE instead of using one of their own IPs? What does Sega think about the whole thing and why would they split off some of the cash flow for a AAA title? Their management issues we've known for years and this is yet another confirmation that Relic management is garbo, no surprise here. The employee is referencing DOW3 a fair bit so it wouldn't surprise me that he was part of the team which we should look at as a separate issue from CoH as it could have been an entirely different Dev team (as we know they had 2 while working on the British Army Expansion). The Dow 3 flop is a big issue for Relic and one that might have been solved by better market research TBH. The issue with Dow 3’s role simply tried to bridge a gap between RTS and Moba market however failed to satisfy both parties as both MOBA players and RTS players found the game to be rather shallow. The game itself did a lot right with good models, sounds, maps, and even animations (as limited as they were) but even with all that good came a rather fragile foundation that their elements simply created an environment that wasn’t fun or deep enough to make it reward. With that. Its rather odd that Relic is working on AOE4 but I am afraid that AOE might not scratch the already profitable and established CoH franchise fan base which is rather large according to steamspy, 3 million units total sold by 2015 is a rather large amount of dosh that may or may not come over with the AOE IP. Even still we have yet to see anything outside of a teaser, until we know more about the game it’s hard to gauge how well the game might be received or what base they are trying to capture but my guess is that Microsoft might have better market data than Sega. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, what if SEGA favors CA over Relic? *Edit: I felt like I needed to keep going as I felt like I didn't address the "coh2 wasn't profitable" idea by saying that if steamspy is correct that the total untis sold in 2015 was in fact 3.8 million doesn't include the price that it was paid for but it also doesn't account for the DLC that was sold. The "patches" are to improve security lol. the Intel Meltdown issue is dependent on processor type and the fix mostly effects servers rather than consumer grade hardware. Trust me, if the 1 second delay is a thing outside of a change they didn't specify its prob due to the security issue. In: Lobby |
